  1. I hope the Heritage @ WH game is competitive. You never know in rivalry games. The Patriots will have their hands full with BDP. SC’s QB is a good player that impressed me last Friday night.
  2. I’m sure your Blue Devils feel the same way. The last 2 years Heritage matched up well. This year, based on the first 9 games I can’t say the same. I expect some points, I just don’t think my Patriots can out score BDP. No injuries for either team would be great.
  3. I hate to hear that. Prayers for those young men, including your nephew. That is a question I had for Waverly as well.
  4. They (East Nashville & Smith County) play for the Region 5-3A Championship next Friday. I believe our Top 3 Seeds will beat their 2nd, 3rd, & 4th Seeds in the 1st Round.
  5. He’s a good QB. Our Region has 4 good QB’s in it, that includes Stewart County as well. Heritage come out sloppy in the 1st Quarter. It was 14-0 Rebels at the end of the 1st. I wasn’t too worried, because it was self inflicted. We may have the Top 3 Seeds Win a Playoff game in the 1st Round.
  6. Next Friday October 29th, the 4th Annual Rotary Cup will take place. Cross town rivals, the Heritage Patriots will be taking on the White House Blue Devils. White House has had an incredible season, Winning Region 6-3A and securing a #1 Seed in the Playoffs. After Losing the 1st game of the season to a good Station Camp team 14-7, BDP has reeled off 8 straight Wins. Winning by scoring a ton of points and getting timely stops on Defense. Leading the way for the Blue Devils is Senior Quarterback Ranen Blackburn. Ranen has shattered school records and put himself in contention for a Mr. Football award. Another threat in the White House backfield is Reece McAfee who has put up some big numbers at Running Back. Coach Ryan Hamilton has his a squad playing good football heading into the final week of the regular season. Coach Hamilton will also be up for some Coaching Awards with the success his team has had this season. The visiting team, the Heritage Patriots have had a tough season. However, they just secured a Playoff spot last night, with the Win over the Stewart County Rebels 42-35. The Patriots have a 3 Headed Monster in the backfield, with Quarterback Taye Francis, Running Backs Malakhai Illarramendi, and Damian Dobak. Heritage doesn’t throw the ball very much, but when they do it’s to either Wide Receiver Ty Minnick, Full Back Brandor Rosa Paez, or any of the Running Backs. Taye is always a threat to take off with the football using his legs. Defensively, Heritage looks for stops creating Turnovers and getting opponents in long yardage situations. Coach Stetson Dickerson is in his 4th Season and he has really turned around the Heritage program. Before Dickerson’s arrival in 2018, Heritage had previously only Won 1 game in 2017. Now, the Patriots have made the Playoffs three years in a row. Look for a high scoring and hard hitting affair in the Rotary Cup, where long time friends become foes on the field. Heritage has Won the last 2 match ups in this rivalry.
  7. You just never know in High School Football, that’s why they play the game! Heritage got a HUGE Win!
  8. What a game! I’m so glad Heritage turned it on in the 2nd Quarter! Stewart County was up 14-0 at the end of the 1st Quarter. Then the Patriots turned it… They scored 14 in the 2nd Quarter. All tied up at 14 at the half, Heritage scored 28 unanswered points before the Rebels scored again. It was a back and forth game, and really came down to what Defense could get a stop. Heritage never punted the ball, but the Patriots had either 2 or 3 Turnovers. The Rebels punted once and I believe they had 2 Turnovers. SC has a very solid QB, that makes their Offense go. Heritage gave SC a heavy dose of #7, #22, & #5. Offensive Line for the Patriots created some running lanes. Definitely a barn burner with a lot of yards and points. Heritage 42 Stewart Co. 35
  9. I hope Heritage shows up and plays a full game tonight. It’s been a tough year for the Patriots. I heard this week has been a good week of prep. Last week was probably good timing for the boys to recharge their batteries. At least we’ll have some great football weather, I love it!
  10. They got here before 6. I’ve been here since 5:30.
  11. Indeed. Page, Westview & White House are all good teams and good losses if there is such a thing.
  12. I agree. White House should be above Waverly. Your Blue Devils have a good squad. All 3 teams from Region 6 are good.
  13. I guess their field and stadium is still a mess? Heritage is giving Waverly 100% of the gate and concessions.
  14. Coach started all Seniors and quickly changed that, lol. Honestly, Heritage came out flat in the first half. CC played hard and made plays. Coach Dickerson made a few adjustments at the half and the Patriots were able to move the ball. Hats off to the Cubs for their hard play. I beat CC possessed the ball by 70 percent and had long drives. Football is a want to sport and these are high school kids.
  15. It was a good game for Cheatham County. Heritage doesn’t match up well with power teams.
  16. Heritage welcomes Waverly to White House for an important 6-3A matchup. This will be the 6th straight Home game the Patriots will play Host. Heritage (4-3) squeaked out a 7-0 Win over a scrappy Cheatham County squad on Senior Night. It wasn’t a pretty or clean performance, but a Win is a Win. Waverly (5-1) comes in riding a 2 game Win streak, including defeating Monterey 19-14 last Friday night. The Tigers only have the 1 blemish on their record, that being the shootout Loss to a very good Blue Devils team at Nissan Stadium. Should be a big crowd, great weather and hopefully a competitive football game.
  17. Cheatham County gave Heritage all they wanted.
  18. I was told that Waverly will come to Heritage next week. The Patriots are giving their gate, and some of their concessions to the Tigers.
  19. We’ll see Candy. How about that 62-0 blowout yesterday?
  20. It sure does. It changed the complexion of the game. At that time the score was 20-14 Fairview, I believe.
  21. No Sir. The block by #10 was called holding. He was no where near the ball either. He was downfield in the middle of the field and the ball was ran to the right. If it was a blindside block, it would have been the 15 yard variety. The official signaled holding. It’s unfortunate, because that was when Heritage was in the game. You must be thinking of a different play?
