  1. Having a talented son as a QB would not have been a real factor. Even if he's a stud, he'll only be there 4 seasons, and then what? On top of that, I thought the returning QB was a bright spot for Clinton this past season. He threw for over 1000yds. and several TD's in 7 games.
  2. Let me understand this... 1) The consensus from the fans, parents, & "CoachT-ers" was that McKamey couldn't win because of his ground-and-pound offense so he needed to be replaced. 2) There isn't enough talent for a fast-paced/spread-type offense at Clinton so they need to ground-and-pound to keep games close so they can have a chance to win in the 4th quarter. It's all starting to make sense now
  3. Just like when Maryville finished behind Oakland's "Hybrid Wing-T" two years in a row
  4. Isn’t the DC at Union Co. Clinton’s coach prior to McKamey? I’m not real sure how connected your “connections” are.
  5. You can add the former boys soccer coach to that list too. Seems to me that if you can't please all of the parents all of the time, coaches are shown the door. That can't sound very attractive to a quality HC. Like SweetScience said, they'll have to pray they find a diamond in the rough if things are going to change. Unfortunately, that hasn't seemed to work in the last 21yrs.
  6. As much as I like Coach Shattuck, he only had 3 winning seasons in 10yrs. And, Clinton went 7-33 in his first four seasons (0-10 in his last). Clinton Football has only had FOUR winning seasons in the last 20yrs. Anonymous critics publicly dragging down a coach will not make it any better.
