Offense has too many weapons to struggle like they did. Way to difficult to move the ball on them. Walker Valley isn't a very good team. This bunch beat them handily in JV. Cohesion will improve though and a win is a win. Summer will be the deciding factor. Need to grow.

yep, that's why I was thinking 6-4 to 8-2. Never know. Tellico isnt even guaranteed. I just see the talent and think its a winning ball team. NOTHING is a guarantee with this team! lol Lost games they shouldn't have last season.

Change in division had ALOT to do with it. Traded in Sequoyah (5-5), Chatt Central (0-10), Sweetwater (4-6), Boyd Buch (10-0), Carter (4-6) for Rhea County (10-4), (Kingston (8-2), Alcoa (10-0), CAK (11-2), Notre Dame (10-4) , Scott (5-5) Running back got injured vs. Rhea County that season and only played in a few games. Injury riddled year.

No idea but I am excited. This is the best looking team (physically) that I have seen in a long time at Central. They are big! Hope they are physical!

I can see 6-4 to 8-2 with this team. If they get good QB play they'll be tough to stop with all the athletes out.

I think he does it during the last class of the day and then Rec comes in after school to run the defense. My niece runs track and said he's the only coach out there after school but she may not know.

Excellent discussion. They have the most talent there since 2014. Perfect storm as everyone else is down. Hopefully this thread will bring about some feedback.

It just keeps bumping kids out down the line. The Power 5 three star goes to group of 5; the group of 5 goes down to FCS; the FCS goes down to Div 2; Until the kids that would have got in that JUCO or NAIA school just doesn't play. It will make college more competitive for sure but it does eventually hurt high school players.

Yes, it is hurting high school recruits. Move the scholarship limit to 100 and the yearly scholarship limit to 30. 25 spots for JUCOs and High School kids. 5 spots for portal transfers. Problem solved!

Bobby White would be an excellent hire. Tellico has a good group of athletes come through every 7-10 years it seems like. Sometimes that cycle is longer. Very difficult to win there, especially in the region they are in. Marion, Tyner, Polk, Meigs.......yuck

Community is great. They support the program and love football. Might be some politics involved in the job. I had heard that parents didn't like the coaching style (cussing and yelling) at the boys? That's every football coach in America it seems though. Not many coaches have been able to stay there long and from what I am hearing, Rech was ran off...He had some success there and made the playoffs a couple years. It is hard to win there consistently, but I don't know if there is pressure to win there consistently.

They should have more success than they do. I do not understand why they don't. Madisonville/Vonore/Tellico Village areas ought to have some talent around. A MAJOR roadblock for Monroe County teams is the terrible pay and politics. No job security and etc. Monroe needs to PAY coaches more, bottom line. Monroe County is bottom of the barrel in Tennessee salaries. Pay your teachers and coaches and change will come!

They have a potential playoff team with no support....Thought the atmosphere would be crazy tonight. Sweetwater/Central playoff type atmosphere but it doesn't seem like fans care. Can't wait to watch these teams get after it.
