  1. I don't think the 'everyone else has done it at some point so it is okay' argument has any validity. I'm sorry but I don't get fooled by an upside down visor to distract me from what is really going on. It is no coincidence that Fulton goes absolutely belly up and Powell all of a sudden is relevant again. The sad thing is that isn't the only zone Powell is robbing from. We can't forget that they had to vacate wins less than a year ago because of recruiting. I wonder how many West players Powell will use this year to beat them.
  2. I had the pleasure of watching Henry Co in the 2013 BlueCross Bowl. That was a scrappy bunch of kids. Does HC still have the same head coach?
  3. Henry Co will be the team out of the West. East will have to duke it out. These last few weeks will be interesting,
  4. Ooltewah is as down as they've been in a while, the Rebels will make the scoreboard lean sideways. Best of luck to both teams and I hope everyone stays healthy.
  5. I'm pulling for Knox West in this one. That program is one that has had some success in the past and I have been a fan of Lamar Brown since he followed in the great Don Woods' footsteps in Morristown. Powell has rattled off convincing win after convincing win. It truly is remarkable how Lowe has turned that program around in such a short period of time. I'm praying this will be a competitive ball game. All that being said I do think Powell will win this one. Whether or not they get to keep the win: your guess is as good as mine. Powell had to vacate a few wins last year due to sketchy recruiting practices. I don't know why this year would be any different. A tiger doesn't change his stripes and neither does a panther if his name is Matt Lowe.
  6. I think both teams are fighting to stay relevant. This will be a better game than Powell v. West IMO, but that is for another thread. Really enjoyed this game last year but both teams have struggled through injuries all year long. Potentially, this could be another Rivalry Thursday classic, either way though I have to wish the best of luck to both teams.
