  1. That's just the timeline I have been hearing. Hoping for the best for him though because he is a senior. Hate to see any senior have to miss ball games.
  2. I'm not positive but I am hearing he hyperextended his knee and its going to be 1-2 weeks. Should be back for Fannin County and definitely for S Pitt if that's the case.
  3. I think this one will be close for a good bit of the game but CB will pull away late. Central is not a bad football team from what I've seen on them. The only bad loss I see on their schedule is against Tellico. I saw them against Meigs and if that was the same team that played against Tellico I have no idea how they lost. Anyways, Central's power run game isn't bad at all. I can see it giving the cougars a little trouble early on. The Basin D will find a way to slow them down eventually though. Also, it might take the Basin offense a drive or two to get in sync with a new man under center, but I think after he gets a few snaps and some nerves worked out he can get the job done, I have no doubt. Plus, the little bowling ball at running back can take a good amount of the load for the offense. With that being said, I'm taking the cougars, 26-13 in this one. Go Cougars! Find a way and get to 7-0!
  4. Yeah that’s the game I saw sp play. Definitely a good ball team, not slighting them at all.
  5. Just wanted to clarify, I’m not saying we are the #2 team in the state. We have a good ball team but I haven’t seen enough of everyone else to say. I have no clue what’s out west. I will definitely say south pitt has that top spot until someone knocks them off. But I have seen south Pitt and I will say they aren’t the south pitt I’m used to seeing. A lot of speed though. ALOT! Btw, ball game...final, 21-0 basin
  6. Without qb. He hasn’t been in since about 6 minutes left in the second quarter. Second string qb rarely ever gets any practice reps so Ofcoarse the offense has been a little rusty after the injury but he’ll be okay with some reps under his belt. It was 15-0 at the end of 1 and the defense has played well all night so I mean it is what it is I guess lol
  7. 15-0 basin at the half. Grawboski got injured about mid 2nd quarter on a drive. I’m not positive what is hurt but looked like he may have tweaked his knee possibly. He was putting weight on it walking off the field so I think he will be fine. Had a dropped touchdown pass shortly after that on the same drive but stalled out after that. Defense will be able to win this game for us, regardless. Thoughts going out for the senior qb. Hope all is well with him.
  8. This GW bunch will no doubt be the best football team Copper Basin has seen this year by far, from what I’ve seen. But also from what I’ve seen on them, basin will be the best team they’ve seen all year as well. Neither team has played a lot of good competition til this point (even though I’ll give GFC their dues, they played us very well). I don’t think GW is of the same level as SP however. I haven’t seen the pirates yet this year but if they are their usual selves or better then GW isn’t of the same caliber. But, they are a good football team so this will be a great opportunity to see where our cougars are. Go Big Red!
  9. When you look at the scores of their first two ball games, one would think they had a solid defense. But after watching the films,I see they were up against pretty inept offenses. I think basins offense will have a few more athletes than what they’ve seen from McMinn Central and sequoyah. I think the basin defense, coming off a shutout, will be feeling good and ready to go again. I’m gonna go with the cougars 36-12 in this one and moving on to 4-0 for the first time since 2010!
