I respect your position, you see it as you wish. I assume Uncle Dave is a SP fan that called a GB player a punk for starring at SP fans after a reception, and SP fans making remarks to and at GB players. What would you call it? BS?

Don’t need to see them, I’m only stating what I heard and saw. I feel, if what I assume is an adult, calling a kid a punk on this site for a stair, and a fan base shouting derogatory boo’s and other noises and words at the same kid/kids while they are warming up before the game when they dropped a punts is hypocritical. SP has obviously a passionate fan base as they should be, their young men are very talented and deserved to win the game as much as GB as they played a great game. I am only saying what happened goes both ways.

UD I happened to be at the game just to enjoy what turned out to be one of the greatest HS football games I’ve ever seen. I could have attended any other game in the area but chose this one. I must say I seen a lot of ball in my time but what SP fans were doing during warm up was as classless as I’ve seen. You can throw rocks a high school kid all you want for a stair, but, I guess your ok with what seemed the entire SP making derogatory at GB players on dropped punts.

The thing about most 1A programs they’re in remote areas and lack adequate youth/middle school programs. Some are fortunate to be closer to more populated areas which helps but are obviously no match for larger schools. Point in case, not sure what happened to GB in the match up with Loudon, but they put it on Lenoir City according to the box score, and LC played Loudon a little closer. I do realize that’s a great rivalry game though.

I saw this one, MHS was to much in the 2nd half.

Alcoa is not as good as last year IMO but still pretty dadgum good. I would like to see Loudon take this one as well. They can not make the mistakes they’ve made lately though, which will be hard to accomplish at Alcoa. Loudon hasn’t been hit like they will tomorrow night.

I agree, Alcoa/Rankin have significantly improved the school, facilities, etc they could move on up in few years. Trousdale moving back to 1A is interesting but would make it more competitive.

I think Alcoa wins big over Loudon, thoughts?

Will do. The tallent pool has significantly improved over the last 30 years in the area. Actually would love to SP schedule some of the area teams. I realize it would be a ways to travel for home or away, but that would awesome to see.

How many potential D1 prospects are on the SP team?

No sir, just a fan of high school football nothing more. I’m not intelligent to orchestrate. The Knoxville Symphony Orchestra I hear is a great show if you’re into that.

I agree the electricity will be flowing strong, there are four massive games in the Knoxville area tomorrow night! It’s not fun to read material of personal attacks. There’s enough wrong in this world, and what is taking place tomorrow night should be about what’s right! There will be proud moms and dads, among others, watching their young men play in a semi final game that, win or lose, will bring a lot of joy. For some this will be their last game, others will hopefully get the opportunity to continue. In either case this could be one for the ages, talked about for years to come! SP and GB fans have every reason to be proud of the success of their respective programs!

Not sure if you are a SP fan, it doesn’t matter either way as I assume you do not know these kids, their parents, or coaches on a personal basis, but it is concerning that someone is willing to make such remarks about people they don’t know. I read the articles, they were written months ago, there’s nothing in them that supports any accusations of wrong doing. I do have one question, why is this so upsetting to SP fans?

What is the avg size of the SP OL line?

GB receivers most of the time run very disciplined routes. For any defense LBs would need to help cover. Haven’t seen SP other than a few hudl highlights but they appear really fast. GB OL is huge for 1A and were very dominating at times from what I saw.

Which GB games did you attend? You stated you seen them play several games.
