  1. Maybe Tyron will answer you? I think he likes to see himself post??
  2. Speed kills for sure, GB has it, and their receivers run routes like very few teams I’ve seen. Most teams usually have one maybe two good receivers but this team has least five that are very good and 23 is on completely different level.
  3. I would give the edge to GB in this one. GB is more battle tested, in my opinion can be a significant intangible when a team has had multiple opportunities to critique it’s scheme. I base this on strength of schedule as SP has dominated most of their opponents. Case in point Gordonsville record was 5-7. I agree with you the line of scrimmage is the key, which team controls that aspect will have the upper hand. What I saw in last nights game GB has all the tools to dominate the LOS but will need to correct some issues this week of practice.
  4. That’s a significant advantage especially for the upcoming game.
  5. I attended the GB vs OS game and just a few observations, and only opinions, was surprised by how undisciplined at times GB seemed to be, that really goes for OS as well. I realize GB is only 1A but compared to other teams I’ve seen their overall team speed ranks up there. Was unimpressed with there O line play considering their size as I would give the nod to the OS D line for most of the game, they got good pressure on #6 several times, he handled It well most of the time. With that said it has to be a very difficult task to game plan for that offense. I was amazed at some of the receptions made and the YAKs were impressive. Without seeing SP play I’m sure it would be difficult to plan for as well. Thanks for letting me post!
  6. Are you saying most SP players don’t play both ways or they sub a lot of players?
  7. SP might want to orchestrate a pass defense by Friday night or it will be a long night.
  8. Do you have facts to back up this statement of popularity? I think I missed something as scoring stats I think are part of being nominated. Could you explain your statement concerning team recognition? Is that part of the criteria?
  9. Why are you so concerned with this?? There can only be ONE reason, which would actually make it nothing to you. If SP is good enough it shouldn’t matter
  10. I think he is possibly mixed up?? It’s playoff time and we have impeachment proceedings going on in Washington. He just wants some dad-gum answers. I think if someone one would just give him and that OP man some answers, maybe that would ease the pain and misery.
  11. So, just doing some math on this, the Willis kid had 1300 yards receiving on 57 receptions, did any of the other GB have any other 1000 yard receivers? Also, on Willis that’s 23 yards per receptions wow
  12. Where does the GB QB rank among 1A QBs in passing stats?
  13. Congratulations to all these young men as I’m sure they represent their teams, programs, and communities well!
  14. Not confused at all, the only S&M are manufactured by individuals not capable of comprehending what they read. I will refrain from stating my political preference.
  15. I took some time to look up some stats on some of the 1A teams still alive, it appears GB is a night and day different team than they were at the start of the season. Seems their QB has five or so athletes at his disposal. Looking at their schedule their only two losses are two teams that have sights set on playing for state titles as well, and the Meigs Co game was a td difference according to the box score. Stats only tell part of the story but one would think if they win this next in convincing fashion, especially with OS athletes returning, it makes a huge statement as to how their mindset is. It’s time for high school football to start getting real fun!
  16. I find it appalling the CF coaching staff, or at the least, someone within the CF administration would allow their student athletes to represent their program in this manner? If there is a lack of control within this program then someone else should step in and control it for them. 4 years of this type behavior being experienced by multiple opposing programs is totally unacceptable. It seems CF has a good program at the 1A level to allow this.
  17. What players for OS were out for the first meeting?
  18. Wow! I’m sure during the coarse of games threats and such but statements like that are over the top especially if #2s play was a reflection of said comments.
  19. I feel when a team demonstrates this type behavior it becomes a question of how the team is being coached. I love to see aggressive play as much as anyone but when players are deliberately trying to hurt or “take out” other players imho it reflects directly on the program leadership.
