  1. Nashville City Paper: All joking aside, I actually like the City Paper. (RollRedRoll, you don't actually think I believe all of my claptrap, do you?) It (City Paper) is quite refreshing after reading the Tennessean. The stories are much more local. (I guess you would expect that from a local paper.) I see that the Tennessean is countering the City Paper's local coverage with a new online high school football section. Granted, the new section will only cover teams in Davidson and Williamson county. Look out City Paper. The Tennessean has figured out that you are on to something.

  3. Rollredroll: Lawyers expropriate existing capital and resources. They create absolutely no value. It is purely a money redistribution game. I admit that journalists are a bit higher on the ladder. I guess opinions are worth something. However, many have a hidden agenda. So don't believe it all rollred. Furthermore, I trust "aggregate fan opinion" over that of journalists any day. Nice try. [Edited by wizard on 8-26-02 12:32P]
  4. I realize that the journalists (Journalists are our nation's most precious natural resources.) at the City Paper believe that CPA is the favorite to win the region. The readers may find it interesting however that Ezell Harding recieved twice as many votes as CPA in the Tennessean's online poll for the best local team. I put journalists in the same boat as lawyers.
  5. arhp: How many teams did South Pittsburgh blow out last year? I don't remember South Pittsburgh even being in the picture late in the playoffs. Don't worry. This year's group of Ezell Harding Eagles may be a bit different. However, they are very talented and arguably have the best high school football coach in Tennessee.
  6. leo whatever, You had better watch the tape of last year's game. Beef stew won't help.
  7. This is the best time of the year. I am psyched about football, football, football. (high school, college, and pro) All of the teams are undefeated right now. Players have hopes and dreams. First year varsity players are working especially hard. Parents are planning their friday evenings. Cheerleaders are beginning to practice cheering. And the announcers are warming up their vocal chords. In a few weeks, the popcorn will begin popping. Isn't it great?
  8. I know that two of Antione's best friends are at Vandy. (Eric and JT) Has he ruled out Vandy completely?
  9. Maybe Antione is at Northwestern University checking it out and meeting the coaches. After all, Northwestern is in Evanston (a suburb of Chicago.) I know that D-I colleges have shown interest in Antione. Maybe this is the place..... This is just pure speculation, though. I have no facts to support this.

RollyPollyRedtideRoll or whatever your name is. I realize that you have read a thesaurus from front to back. Congratulations! My comment wasn't about "how talented" teams like MBA, BGA, CPA or BA have been. I was implying that Scott Smith is often overlooked and that perhaps CPA's staff is a little overrated. CPA along with BGA, MBA, and BA are located in "Silver Spoonsville" so the local prognosticators trip all over themselves trying to cover these pseudo-intellectual geniuses. Scott Smith is the second coming of Steve Spurrier. If you don't believe me, just watch a tape of the Ezell-Cloudland championship game. As long has he is the coach at Ezell, we will be in great shape. Ezell Harding Players: Practice hard....

I understand that CPA is building up its coaching staff. (A recent addition). This is a good move since Ezell has the the best and perhaps most underrated coach in the state. We often hear about the pseudo-intellectual masterminds at Brentwood Acadamy, BGA, MBA, and CPA. These "geniuses" are not qualified to run concessions at Ezell Harding. Scott Smith is one of the reasons why Ezell will repeat. By the way, it is great to be back. [Edited by wizard on 8-7-02 1:00P]
  12. Antoine Owens - Ezell-Harding: He has solid interest from 3 Division I schools already.
