I had a convo with Debusk and he mentioned that it was either “travel to Stewart’s creek or play Claiborne at home.” And a trip to Nashville didn’t seem appealing. That tells me everything I need to know about db football. They don’t care about it at all

Thought I would let everyone know (who cares about it anyways) that I talked to Frankie Debusk and a few errors were made on Tssaa website for this schedule. The opponents are all correct but gate city will be coming to KPT and Oak Ridge game will be on the road. It has been corrected on the tssaa website!

They are 2A but your point stands. I wonder if that game came to be when Gate city had to use our facilities during the hurricane?

A team that went 4-6 and missed the 3A playoffs out of region 1 is definitely not a team that should be on the schedule for the tribe

As they should, it’s a crime that it went away for a few years! Definitely a head-scratcher to see Claiborne on there

Coach McMillan cleared up the frustration on the news tonight. He said Bearden was simulating the snap which was what Coach Christian was arguing. All I know is once Christian got tossed, we fell apart

Db shouldn't have any problem in this one. Nothing against Blount but there strong record comes from a weaker schedule in my opinion

U shouldn't really have to separate fans if the fans have any class whatsoever. All it requires is being a decent person to not do things like that. Like you said, we don't know what happened over there on that side, however I did have Elizabethton people flipping off me, my mom, and my brother as we were trying to leave. And that was in the parking lot, not in the stadium

DB cares everything about band and not one thing about football.. that's just how the school is. Drives me crazy. We were down 16 to 13 against asheville at half and after the band performed ALOT of people got up and left. But one question I have is, DB doesn't care about football (only care about band), Betsy lives and breathes football and beat db by 7. What does that really say about where Elizabethton is.

I wish Kingsport would care about football like they do Band. I love the passion and support behind the band. I just wish it was the same for football

DBs team is very inconsistent but their live stream is always pretty good lol. If you have trouble finding it just respond to this post and I'll try to help ya out

Why did this thread end with negative posts???? Defense looked great, Will Hurd showed up in the 2nd half along with the run game. Went on to win 41 to 16! I guess people only care about db when they are losing...

You present a good point. Joey always talks about how "complicated" the playbook is but that's only a good thing when you are winning games.

The problem with making a qb switch is that our backup is Gib Maupin (Elizabethton transfer). He hasn't been in the program long enough to know the playbook. I have inside info confirming that he is having trouble learning to entire play book. Unfortunate because that guy can sling it.
