Had a chance to watch Middleton play against Lexington in HOF game. Looks like we are reloaded and ready to make another run at the gold ball. Extremely quick and talented. Look forward to the season. We beat a good Humboldt team at there place by 13.

Spellerone, Please give a man time to get back to you. I was out of town all day yesterday. I am back and ready to talk. My boys just choked in the second half. I am just going to say this... I did not talk a lot of smack this year because I really knew we were just not as good as years past. Let me say this Humboldt is not that good either. You can say what you want but I do not think they will win the state championship this year. Coaching will catch up to them in the second round of the tournament. Do not get me wrong I will pull for humboldt to win because they are from the west. I just do not honestly think they have the coaching to win it all. Middleton had plenty of chances to put the game away but just could not do it. Anyway good luck to Humboldt and Spellerone see ya next year. Keep it calm buddy!

LC had owned that title but you guys are the new champs. See so now you do have a championship this year! This is very true. Middleton did play one of its best games of the year that night. I think this will be a close game but honestly I give the edge to Humboldt. They are playing at home and are on a roll. Middleton did not take care of business and deserves to be on the road. Middleton has probably lost more 1-point substate games than any team in TN. These are the years they have lost by 1 point in the last 11years..(1996-West Caroll,1997-Sharon,2001-Lake County,2004-Halls,2006-Union City) Pick- Humboldt 59 Middleton 58

We see what confidence gets you. It gets you a front row seat in the bleachers. Bandwagon people go to one or two games a year or only when they are winning. I have been to all but a few games this year. I have not got on here and said we would win the state championship this year. All I said is that I thought it was funny UC & LC lost because all the posts on here said no one had a chance but district 14A. I am not talking trash I am just laughing all the way to substate. sbl BTW, nice of yall middleton fans to join us now that the gold ball is wide open besides Humboldt. Where were ya when life looked less rosy!! The reason Middleton fans were not saying anything all year long is because The UC & LC were already crowned state champs!(Ha Ha) The main reason were are talking now is because we have already beat the next best team in the state according to you guys. That would be Humboldt. We beat them by 16 early in the year. Let the excuses flow I know you didn't have 2 players. The fact is everyone has a good chance from here on in to win the state title. I love the respect Middleton is getting, but honestly the way Middleton is playing right now we will not even win our district. Middleton's team has plenty of talent to go back to state. But the fact is Middleton is going nowhere. Everyone wants to be the hero and there is no chemistry. Ball hogging and absolutely no hustle. No effort being displayed. If you want to beat Middleton just hustle and you will win against us. I hate to say it but we deserve to lose every night. So please take Middleton out of everyone's top 10! They do not deserve it!

Did not get to catch the first game. It was not on the schedule. I can't wait to see the game tonight. Please remember our main big guy is hurt. He is scheduled to be back on the team after Dec. 5th. So you have not seen the real Middleton just yet. Big man will make a difference. He is 6"5 300lbs and has some hops! Good luck tonight!

Middleton will return 5 key players, who saw a lot of playing time this season. We will make a run for the gold again. We do not rebuild, we reload.

I was a jr. on that team and all I can remember is Dexter Williams laying flat on his back and he made a shot while laying flat on his back. We lost that game by 1 point. We were 27-1 going in that game. Timothy Burkley was our main man then. Heartbreaker. Middleton has lost (4) one point substate games including this year. I was part of 2 of them back to back (96,97).

I thought the coach for Liberty played for West Carroll. His team beat Middleton in 96 in a heart breaker but went on to lose in the semis. I could be wrong let me know.

I know I am jumping in this late, but you are dead wrong on this one. Middleton led Temple just about the whole game. So get your facts straight. Middleton deserved the state championship last year. The 2nd best team last year was Lake County as bad as I hate to say it. So get off last year and on this year. I think Union City will win this year. In my opinion they beat the best team in the state Middleton. I still can see that shot going in at the buzzer. We had the game won and just lost it. Well, you got to have a little luck to win the gold and I think UC has the luck. Good luck to all the teams. Every team that made it deserves to be here.

I really can't say one way or another. I would have to take Middleton because Murden was the only player who showed up. It was a Classic.

I agree Kessler will do what is good for Bolivar and Only Bolivar. He could have helped Middleton but he didn't. Middleton gets to play in the Memphis district. No one supports the Memphis programs. So they bring no money to the school in attendance. But Mr.Kessler made sure his Bolivar Tigers did not get in that Memphis District. He is all about the money. They are the only high school in TN (that I know of) that charges $6.00 for every home game. MONEY HUNGRY!
