  1. To be clear, that was not directed at you. It was the TSSAA. No idea why they split those schools up like that last time.
  2. Would be the logical thing with 13/14 to just slide Union City in and keep everything else the same. For the life of me, I can't understand 11 and 12. You have 5 west tennessee teams and 4 middle teams, and they're all mixed together. Makes no sense to me. Big Sandy, Clarksburg, Bruceton, WC and McKenzie should all be together. 4 are in the same county!
  3. I only county 75 teams there. So looks like a few missing. I know Union City is missing.
  4. I don't think this is right. OC's population is getting smaller and I don't think they've been 3A at any point since there has been 6 classes.
  5. I think that’s good in theory, but the hard thing to ignore is Obion’s student population is actually getting smaller. Over the last 4 classifications it’s gotten smaller every time: 2012: 935 2016: 900 2020: 762 2022: 751 So it’s kinda hard for everyone to understand how this thriving city is losing kids, and blaming it on the county school, while the county school is also losing kids.
  6. Ok I’ll break it down for you, fining a school for failing to comply=not a bad idea. Having schools as small as 120 kids play travel 2-3 hours to play football against schools with 2500 kids is not only a terrible idea, it’s the most unrealistic proposal imaginable. So if you wanna talk hypotheticals, then let’s at least keep it within the realm of possibility.
  7. The fine may work. Idk about playing in the highest classification. Just think the other day Clarksburg was still on the list. Put them in 4A and who is really getting punished. They either go to Clarksville or Memphis. Prolly forfeit all their away games and then those teams have to travel 2 hrs to play a team their freshman could handle by 60. So idk how that would work out. Then you deal with safety issues in football.
  8. Yes that makes sense. It’s a good question. I’m really not sure. I was told the virtual school in Jackson was zoned to play at JCM. In that case, I would think you would add the entire enrollment. But idk how they’ll actually do it.
  9. I'm not exactly sure what you're trying to figure out. But I'm pretty sure they are only going to count the schools that play that sport for classification. For example, Clarksburg, Big Sandy, Bradford etc.. are pulled out of the list when they do the football numbers.
  10. No idea. I would assume just bigger classes? Unless the amount that closed equals or surpasses the new schools. However with 44 new schools, I would guess there will be more schools this cycles than last time. So instead of 83 schools per class, closer to 90? I really have no idea.
  11. MAHS is no longer a school, Zion Christian is no longer in the TSSAA pool, not sure if the school closed or if they just left the association. Even though they have to get the number, Germantown could easily just be thrown into 4A/6A. So basically just waiting on those 4 schools, 5 counting Germantown.
  12. Ha! True. Well it’s abt the same no matter which way you go, but depending where you’re at through Dresden would be a little quicker. But I agree no better use for millions of bucks than to build a school in a community with hardly any kids, for 250 kids that could just as easily go to Martin or Dresden as they’d be the same distance lol
  13. I’m not sure what you’re talking about. Regions changed this past year and Greenfield and Lake Co are in the same region and they played each other??
  14. Are you talking about the Covid year? I'm not sure all the details on that, you said Lake co had to forfeit bc of Covid.
  15. Out of the 11 teams in the current 2 side by side regions, only 4 made the playoffs every year from 17-21. And Greenfield was 1 of them. They lose on a last second play to Humboldt this year or they go again and likely go to 2nd round. Also lose on the last play to Dresden and Gibson Co or they have a winning record. Nobody is gonna pretend that Greenfield is a powerhouse football program. But the program improved tremendously when Pitt took over and to act like they haven't became a solid team in the area is nonsense.
  16. That’s irrelevant. Bc Talent did get them to 8-2 (*7-2) and a 2 point loss away from the quarterfinals. Nothing abt that says they need to think about consolidating.
  17. That makes no sense at all. Gleason just had a winning season. Before this year Greenfield had 3 straight winning seasons, 4 straight playoff appearances and a region championship. Not to mention logistically it just doesn't make sense. Either Gleason or Greenfield kids are gonna drive past Dresden to go to a different school??
