Not sure about any predictions, but the head coach for SHHS must be an idiot. He has more talent, size, speed, and the most over qualified assistant coaches on any sideline…. Why can he not put a winning game plan together? His offensive game plans are terrible. They may need to consider finding a new HC on The Hill if he can’t do any better than what he has been doing.

Tough loss but glad to see they competed a bit. Sounds like offensive play calling for that last 2 minutes could have worked out better.

Hawks need a miracle to start winning again. They’ve created a losing streak, that will be tough to break. they had a great program back when Wes Jones was the HC looks like potter ran it into the ground after that, and miner will have a hard time digging it back out at this point.

Oh, I’m very aware of the quality program he built at Hardin Valley. You may know him better than me, but If I were a betting man, He will be a HC again in this decade. He is too good to of a HC to be an asst. If & when he and his family are ready for him to be a HC again… it will happen. I’ve watched him create something out of “nothing” more times than I can count, coached with him, played with him, played against him, and known a lot of kids that played for him…the man is not just good at what he does, he is passionate about doing things the right way.

Wes Jones - currently at Science Hill in Johnson City, TN not sure he will leave his asst role any time soon, but If the opportunity presented itself- he is HC material for any size program great coach great leader

Anyone who knows anything about Speas, probably has learned by now…the more attention he can create from This “hire” the happier he will be. I would expect an announcement on the football field with a light show (hahhahaha) or maybe even a “special guest” appearance at the basketball game. He likes to Create a show. I just hope that he can back up the “smoke and fire” with some WINS in The future, Unlike ol Pooter.

I would bet that the SHHS HC doesn’t teach any “tough classes” and I would also bet that he makes close to, if not right at $100k. Johnson Coty schools pays very well, compared to most schools systems in TN.

Truth!! ThAt group was FULL of talent. Sad to see such a season end in a matter of bad coaching calls.

Sounds like there could be a lot of feelings get hurt during this hiring process.

I’m certainly not saying the program is in worse shape than it was before Carter took over, just not sure how many times “coaching errors” can be “ignored” in 6A football. At some point SHHS is going to need to compete with the Knoxville Schools if they want to be considered “among the best” … but If SHHS and Coach Carter are okay with being a mediocre 6A football team, then there is absolutely no need in any coaching changes.

I would be curious about that rumor, since hiring a young first time HC would likely be a mistake for a 6A program, but hey...stranger things have happened. What names are being tossed around?

The football program at SHHS seems to be stagnant under HC Stacy Carter. Has he been there long enough? He was hired back in 2010, and while it may seem like he has had a lot of success at SHHS, it also seems like the fans (or what fans are left) are tired of the •Stacy Carter Show• … just an observation. The football program at SHHS will never be able to compete with the big 6A schools in Knoxville with Carter as their leader, sadly he has proven that Carter seems to be a great guy, but his knowledge of the game seems to be less than what is needed for 6A football This football program will need a new leader, a new Head Coach prior to kickoff in the 2022 season, or they’ll be losing even more players to Betsy, Crockett, Boone, Bristol, WestRidge, and anywhere else people can get to … to get away from the •Stacy Carter Show• So, It is time! Will SC read the writing on the wall, and hear the fans in the stands? Or Will the admin have to put pressure on SC to leave? Thoughts?
