in AAA, mccallie and baylor have #1 & #2 in the east. in the west, MUS has #1 and ensworth and CB are in contention fof #2. in AA, what breadtruck said for middle. in the east, BB is #1, I think knox webb is #2 or looking that way. in the west, lausanne is #1 and its between USJ and northpoint christian for #2. someone can double check me but I think that is mostly right.

A - lots of action! thursday night - lots of single A action on thursday night! NCS (4-5) at DCA (5-4) - probably better game than their records let on. tipton rosemark (6-3) at FACS (7-2) - thoughts? grace christian (5-3) at CA (6-3) friday night JCS (9-0) at trinity (7-2) - big match up! AA - not so much... friday night DA (8-1) at CPA (8-1) - huge game but I think CPA handles business. usj (6-3) at lausanne (7-1) - i accidentally put this in single A... AAA - somewhat interesting... thursday night briarcrest (4-5) at MUS (8-1) - MUS has this one. friday night knox catholic (5-4) at baylor (7-2) - knox catholic gave mccallie fits. can they topple baylor? mccallie (9-0) at LA (4-5) - mccallie looked beatable last week it seemed. LA could give them a game but I think they wont. christian bros (6-3) at ensworth (7-2) - ensworth keeps rolling.

yes, all true to a degree. I think dilfer was a really good CEO which is what a head coach often ends up being. not knocking the actual coaching but talking about how he made sure everyone was watching all the details. if you came to the IMG game, you saw those details falling through the cracks. however, a GREAT CEO sets up their successor for success. this is common in the business world where the team is more like a cult of personality and ego than a well run machine. IMHO, I think that is what we are seeing at LA. I do think there is something about getting buy in from the players that seems to be missing. LA has the talent this year to be more competitive than they are. we are clearly missing the offensive weapons of the last couple years but the chemistry is wrong and I dont if that will change over time with new kids coming up and in or if it will stay unhealthy. smarter people than me will have to decide that. I think the promotion is just the way it is. I like the quiet way some teams do it and think that is more a model for long term success than the in your face style we had for a few years.

agreed mccallie and baylor are in a class by themselves most friday nights. i dont think LA could beat oakland this year. might be a blowout if the wrong LA team shows up. oakland is the best of the public schools until someone beats them. it's bull crap for bradley to be above them in the polls but that will be sorted out soon enough.

thanks for posting. ive been on fall break and a unplugged thankfully. D2AA is going to be lots of fun this week! im personally curious to see if LA keeps fighting like last week or lays down this week against BA like they did against MBA.

yeah the D is really their strength. not sure why the team showed up this week but not last. maybe they have some fight left in them after all. both beasley and spillman will be wearing orange and white next year as of now!

im sorry you had such a bad experience. can you be more specific? I know we have a visitors parking area beside the visitor seating and im not aware of any other school that does that. in the past, we have fed some schools before they make a long drive. if you send me some details (private message is fine), I am glad to talk to someone about it to see that we improve where we can. once again, i'm very sorry to hear you were not treated well.

yeah it's easy to think the grass is always greener but this weekend reminded me of something that I did not love about him. love and respect the guy in a lot of ways but that kind of anger is not what I want directed at my kid. some folks tried to make it sound like I was soft when I said that one time but this isn't the marines.

it's definitely not the most fun football season but I think everything will be just fine. I guess it will be what it will be and that will be fine. FWIW, there is no c of c, only a board of directors at the university. church of christ is not actually an organization. it's a bunch of individual churches who have the same name but do whatever the heck they want.

swipes is correct. we just dont know our opponents as well. LA lost to another really good OOS opponent who just didnt have a great record. tough year for both schools.
