  1. I think we have seen this 2 weeks in a row. sorry about the outcome but props on hitting the road against a tough OOS team.
  2. not sure this thread is holding up well...
  3. our offense is just painful to watch. not sure how many games we will win if we play like that. hoping that we keep getting better all season but our lack of speed and depth at WR may not be fixable.
  4. congrats on another great win! PC is looking good!
  5. im really looking forward to this one. we have some great area battles this year.
  6. I believe you are looking at the nashville area small class rankings. he is posting the state wide AP by division. there are so many it's kinda confusing. it's funny to see the regional votes for first place.
  7. oh nice! always cool to see your kiddo crushing it!
  8. not sure why TSU came over but we have lots of other folks using our turf which as we have discussed is one of the benefits. i think LA works out on saturdays but not sure about practice. i'm usually gone by 9:30. the broadcast is still on youtube and I thought it was pretty well done. way better than NFHS for sure.
  9. that was TSU but they are about the same size. no joke.
  10. thanks. yeah, I think they learned a lot. edwin hit another UT commit who was playing for IMG and injured him. hope he's ok. I know there are no moral victories but maybe LA needed that and will build from it.
  11. thanks for the info on the D2-A games! im not as knowledgable but it sounds like there are a few good ones this weekend!
  12. im sure my guess is NOT as good as yours but thanks! I dont know much about st. edward but that didn't look like a close game. i'l be pulling for you guys from mobile, AL!
  13. super psyched on this match up. props to oakland for this tough away opponent. @MidTennFootball what are you thinking??
  14. pearl cohn @ CPA looks to be the most interesting to me. both are riding high off big wins. LA @ saraland will be another tough week for LA. really want to see some offensive improvement. MBA @ ensworth will be a good measuring stick for how MBA's season is going to go I think. BA @ brentwood should be a fun public private matchup. interested to see BA's adjustments. seton hall prep, NJ @ baylor woodward academy @ mccallie MTCS at master's academy in FL? road trip! friendship christian @ DCA. thoughts? any other interesting games im missing?
  15. edwin is a great kid and a great player. I have not heard anything about deuce being injured and he finished the game.
  16. no one said anyone put TN football on the map but I would thin oak ridge or brentwood academy might have a claim to that. I just said he got TN football in the national media.
  17. interesting point. I didn't see that baylor had lost. lots of teams looked human didn't they? too bad CPA didn't join so our region could have another win. : ) great win for CPA btw. dilfer might have moved up to avoid this group right here.
  18. will this game be on youtube or NFHS? I can't find it on either...
  19. it was a lot to handle with a brand new coaching staff and as you pointed out, some of the skill positions need some work. btw, PC looks like they are going to have a special season!! i'm really rooting for you guys!! you guys are like a sister school IMHO. there were definitely a lot of technical problems but I wouldn't chalk it up to a conspiracy or anything. it was working in the second half. I am sure the vibe was off for our players so I know it didn't help. they used to have more gates open before covid and I think that was a definite OFI. don't forget the staff that ran all of those operations are new but it is unfortunate that we didn't put our best foot forward. hopefully, you will come see another game and we do better. : )
  20. great win for PC. they are looking really good this year! sounds like the MTCS/CA game was something else!
  21. im just messing with you so relax. anyway, if it makes you feel any better, our school was out manned tonight as well but we had some bright spots. maybe IMG "knows they played a tough team" but chances are IMG and ensworth just got a warm up. doesn't matter either way. personally, I learn more from the losses than the wins and hopefully our kids have been taught that as well. the world doesn't need more kids thinking the wins are the where the learning happens. best of luck for the rest of the season!
  22. agreed IMG was on another level. I can't remember the last time we got beaten like that. we had some bright spots and some nice plays here and there but just didn't have the horses to hang. one nice long offensive drive but otherwise didn't find much rhythm there. our running game didn't look very good at all but deuce can sling it. defensively, we did as well as I think we could but if we took the wrong angle at all, they were gone. I just dont think our kids are used to having so many kids that are that fast on the field at once. most of their scores were big plays, not long drives. too many penalties didn't help at all. we got some work to do before saraland! anyway, it was a beautiful night so start the season and hopefully, we make some adjustments and keep getting better. only 1 injury I saw and hopefully it's not serious.
