  1. Laken Leonard from Jackson County better than anyone from Macon or Sumner in last 2.0 years.
  2. Teacher at a school? Daughter played? Son plays now??
  3. Sorry that this has gotten to this. Apologize to BigKanderson for you being drawn into this. I don’t know where you are from, but hopefully your son won’t suffer from this drama…
  4. That’s an awfully big claim. Just have to agree to disagree….maybe recent history..
  5. You very well may be right about what she does.. What happened with Liberty Creek job? That would’ve been the best job for a coach in Sumner county. Brand new school with what I hear is state of the art facilities all the way around.
  6. Nice..So now you’re the CoachT clairvoyant as well.
  7. Please forgive me for being politically incorrect for saying “her”. Just did that since we were talking about a woman. Need to recalibrate the “crystal ball”. You are also assuming these things. You may or may not know the old saying about the word “assume”….
  8. I’m not just talking Girl’s basketball. My comment was on “ better talent”. Overall Sumner County has produced better talent just due to the numbers. I know Macon has had some very good girls teams over last several years but that generally goes back to specific families of athletes. Only athlete that was no doubt better than most Sumner county athletes was Nera White and she was a once in a lifetime athlete.
  9. If you gathered that from what I’ve always thought was a well known explanation of how reliable stories are, you must be a fortune teller and been looking in your crystal ball to come up with something like that. If you’ve never heard that before, try and apply it. Maybe it’ll help you out sometime..
  10. Well with only 2 high schools in the county the selection of players should be better. Macon is a “hot seat” right now. Some good athletes have come from there but I don’t there’s a great abundance of them. Not so sure about the “better talent”. More support for athletics? Maybe. Better talent. Not so much..
  11. Heard Westy needing assistant football coaches too. Maybe she’d be good coach for that since she’s obviously a “great coach” in your mind. The transition from one sport to another should be no problem for a coach of her caliber. Maybe her “tough love” would spill over to the football team. As far as stories go, you know there’s 3 sides to a story; Her side, administration’s side and the truth. Just seems like a lot of jumping around in short period of time for her. If a program is desperate, a quick hire might be necessary but too many coaches available and open positions to make rash decisions. Good luck to Westmoreland girls this afternoon at the Boro.
  12. E J Perry would NEVER EVER EVER go to a Macon county school! He is the best girls coach that Westmoreland has had since the legendary Bobby Hopkins. The only one that could ever even get CLOSE!
  13. Yeah… That’s what it is…Don’t think many tears were shed when she has left any former programs from what I understand…
  14. “Leave or hit the road mentality” might work in big schools with big enrollments, but at smaller schools, it can destroy a program. If it worked very well, she wouldn’t be looking for another job. Heard the GH resignation was a “leave before you’re let go” kind of situation. Some people use the term “great” very loosely. As I said before, coaching not all X’s and O’s…
  15. Andrew Perry might be good choice for Westmoreland. Graduated from there and I believe he lives there. His brother is Girls coach and if work ethic anything like his brother’s, think he can give program a much needed “ shot in the arm”. Fitzpatrick is a great guy , but guess he saw time to make a change. Good luck to him wherever he ends up.
  16. If he were to leave Westmoreland, it would be a sad day for Westmoreland basketball fans.
  17. That young coach (current) is far more talented than anyone gives him credit. Choosing between those 2 would not even be a close contest. Anyone that knows Coach Perry knows he does more to prepare his team than lots of other coaches. As far as the learning goes, you give her WAY to much credit. She could certainly learn a few things from him. I’ve watched him in high school, college and as a coach. Great person and coach. Knows all the X’s and O’s,as well as the right way to motivate his players.
  18. Not everyone is a fan of hers. May be pretty good coach but more to coaching than wins and losses..
