From what I can gather talking to some kids at McDonald’s. Kings has a massive line. Couple of college prospects. The qb got hurt but they got a young gun flamethrower. They have a all state WR. A college type DE and some good linebackers. Very solid. Not a explosion offense but solid offense and very tough defense. They were hurt by turnovers last week. It will be a big challenge for the undersized Tigers from Decatur! Toss up

I will answer. He’s got Covid is the rumor. Also I will say Sweet-water was a little better than normal. Big line. Good qb. Excellent Rb. We just hung in and kept playing hard and made a couple of big plays in the 4th quarter! we will improve as the season progresses

Oh no. What happened to Pickett?

Well I had a good seat. Front and center. We got hit early with the first play going for a touchdown. I thing coach being out hurt. The usually rowdy tiger crowd was dead about the whole game. Meigs slowly tightened up the defense as the game progressed. We were in better shape. The play of the game was The throw from Meadows to Pendergrass and Pendergrass turned on the jets for a big gain and set the momentum for the win! Hopefully we get better as the season progresses and hopefully the crowd brings it the rest of the year.

Yes we have a dandy looking kicker! So that’s a big plus. And for running downhill you better believe it. Block down block down and here comes the train! Better be buckled up tight. my concern is our defense doesn’t seem to be clicking yet. Maybe we are holding back? Maybe we just needs adjustment or more time? Hey @Yeti are you starting a Sweetwater at Meigs thread? It’s time!

Speaking of Sweetwater. I sat around a few Sweetwater fans at the jamboree. Sure a cocky bunch. They spoke of them coming to Meigs and doing some skull dragging as they left Friday night! Though that was interesting. We will see what our Coaches, Fans and Players got to say about that Friday night at Jewell Field! It’s Go Time!

That’s good to hear. It will be interesting to see how far this bunch can get this year. Some didn’t think there were good enough to win the district or even finish 2nd! We will see.

I agree. That rollout by Meadows finding Purgerson for the touchdown was beautiful. They need to keep getting better every week and we got a shot. Fun team to watch. They look like a close team. That makes for a dangerous team.

I got to go tonight and let me tell you. We are gonna be a tough team this year. We have a punishing team. We are not real big but we are a tough and physical bunch. We run a power I and 2 backs and they are doing some blocking up front. Then that Pendergrass kid comes flying thru the line and just knocks a LB chin strap loose tonight! TY gliding right behind. Fun to see. Hard to stop. That’s football boys and girls. our defense is just a tad off but I’m willing to be they will have the defense clicking in a few weeks. Gonna be a fun year.

That’s correct. I heard today that our offense is looking better than expected. Not huge up front but tough and smart and disciplined. Getting better. At Rb we are not blazing speed fast but we are quick and smart and powerful. Play a physical brand of football like the old school Nebraska teams. Those 2 you speak of are TY and Luke Pendergrass. Heard that Sequatchie had a good qb. Also the field was very sweet. Good luck rest of the year @Sequatchie

A poor timed injury was all that prevented it. We had the better team to advance . That life though.
