The defense is looking much better and there is so much more potential on the MC offense, it is very capable of being really good. IF the defense continues to play better and IF the offense starts to go towards its full potential, MC has a really good chance to finish 7-3, if not, there is going to be some more toss up games like the Bledsoe game or a couple more losses. If a team wins this game handily it will be Marion. I expect another close game with MC edging it out for the second straight week.

On to Bledsoe. I could be wrong but I believe Tyner and Dade are much better teams then the remaining teams on the schedule. Got to find away to put a few in the win column

Largest Tyner team I have ever seen in a while or ever as far as number of players. As far as region opponents, Tyner is / was the team to beat. Marion still has a good chance to finish second in the region. At least we aint the first ones to get blown out

If anyone thinks that AC not playing in the second half did not effect the outcome of this game they shouldn't be commenting. Defense needs work but its second game of the season. These coaches will get to work and get the defense headed in the right direction. Its not going to get to championship level, but if it just gets better, the offense is going to win a lot of games. We got exposed on D because SC is good enough to expose them.

The first 2 drives in the second half showed how good MC can be on offense when the players do the little things right, MC easily scored. QB is young, I liked the quick throws in the flats and the swing passes in the first game. Sam should be back. He adds the lightning to the thunder on offense and he can go up and make catches, which he can help open up the passing game when needed. I think SC will matchup better to MC than SP. I will go with 30-13 MC

The Marion Health Department cancelled the game, not Marion County football. A MC player tested positive for Covid-19 at the health department facility, the health department immediately suspended the MC football program. MC couldn't have practice for so many days and I'm not 100% sure if I remember correctly, but I think MC had to cancel the game the following Friday as well.

It is the State's Longest Rivalry, no one else can say that, you have something that Chattanooga, Nashville, Memphis, Knoxville, all other cities and counties in TN doesn't have and they can't get it, as long as you get these 2 teams back together, once 2 other teams take your spot you will never get it back. It is the ultimate Friday Night in TN, they made movies about this stuff. South Pittsburg and a guy that has been in Canada for the last 25 years ruined it.
