  1. If we were a school that cared about its athletics Webster would have been fired years ago. Luckily for him we are not so expect more of the same or worse fro a very long time.
  2. What an absolute unmitigated embarrassment.
  3. Watertown has started slow in pretty much every game this year. For a quarter and a half it looked like Livingston was going to win last night. LA were up 7-0 before they self destructed and H2O looked completely lost. If that happens again on Friday and TC plays the best game of the year, which I think they will, this game could get very interesting. I still think H2O finds enough in the 2nd half to win, but H2O is going to be tested
  4. H2O in a game whose outcome is still in doubt into the 2nd half. This is TC’s Super Bowl this year.
  5. I may just stay home to watch this beat down. Baseball Team get their State Championship Rings at halftime… so I guess I’ll go just for that. This very well may be the first time H2O gets mercy ruled in a while. I hope I’m wrong, but this will be another L.
  6. I’ll have to agree to disagree on the youth football thing. That’s were they learned to play as a unit. They got to know know each other and what each players abilities were. If you ask any of those players they will tell you they learned how to be a team in youth football, not in high school. I do agree on the playing time thing. But none of that address my basic question… Are these players playing to their potential? If so, okay, that’s just the way it’s going to be. If not, why not? Are the players not committed? Are the coaches not coaching them to their potential? I don’t know, that’s why I’m asking. But I do know it won’t get better until that question is answered.
  7. Gavin Webster: “We’re not tackling well; we’re not blocking well. Those are really issues we’ve got to get corrected. If you watch that game in the second half, especially in the fourth quarter, we weren’t blocking well, and we weren’t tackling well. We’re tired, which isn’t an excuse. Everybody’s tired…We didn’t finish.” 77 yards of total offense. 23 points given up in the 4th quarter. 14 points given up in less than one minute… twice. Honest question - are the current players not capable of a better performance? Or, are they not being coached to their potential? I know this current batch of players is not a good as the player from the past 6 years or so. All those players played in the youth league together since they were 6 and 7 years old. Frankly they didn’t need much coaching. So I honestly don’t expect undefeated seasons from the current players. That said, is the current team playing to their potential? And if not, why?
  8. I saw one team that wanted to physical and another that either didn’t, or didn’t know how to. We got exactly what we deserved.
  9. Last minute FG from #7 Trey Pack wins this one for H2O… in my best laid plans prediction . The atmosphere at Westy is always electric. Should be a very interesting Thursday night.
  10. Thanks. I’ve watching/involved with Watertown football for about 12 years… but this year is a bit of a head scratcher. A lot of unknowns around the region. I thought it might be interesting to chime in… we’ll see if that thought pans out.
  11. Yeah… I enter into this telling myself my posts will be few and hopefully not cause any controversy. But I am always amazed at people’s capacity to be offended… so we’ll see.
  12. I’ve heard others say (not here, just in general conversation) this game might very well decide the region… anyone think ER might have something to say about that? Happy to see the H2O win at Gordy but I’m just not sold on them just yet. At some point you have to be able to throw the ball. I haven’t seen anything telling me they can. I mean if you’re huge and can just run teams over you might not need to throw the ball, but H2O isn’t that kind of team. Hoping for a H2O win over Westy, 10-7. Long time reader… first time poster.
