Yea, not everyone gets to host a 2-8 team in the playoffs lol

I know nothing about Franklin County but I do know if Sparta wants to win they have to play better on defense then they have the second part of the year. Can anyone give some insight in Franklin Co team, key players, type of offense and defenses they run? I do not believe we have any common opponents with them to compare to.

Last year at Green Hill he only had 22 carries, for 192 and 3 TD. He will need at least 35 carries this week I would imagine for us to win. It was only one of two games (Station camp the other) he was held under 200 yards. That game got crazy fast and I think we got overwhelmed and gave up a ton of big plays. I expect this to be another shoot out, either way its going to be a great weekend, HS football Friday night and UF coming to Neyland sat! Ill be there for both!

You think Green hill has a better defense than MJ?

I have no idea about Green Hill, who are their players to watch? Any D-1 prospects? All I remember is they had a kid score 5 or 6 TD on us last year.

He visited Ga Tech this weekend and Tennessee Tech has offered him.

Wait, you’re telling me 7 isn’t the starter? I’d hate to the the kid that beat him out of a starting job? Does 7 have any offers? Also I am speculating but I think we squibbed it to keep it out of 6’s hands, Esp on the last kick, I’ll take giving it to you on your own 40 over kicking it to 6 at the 15 and letting him break one. We hadn’t tackled well all night, giving him a chance while exciting would have been foolish lol! Either way on to Green Hill, at this point I think second in the region is very doable for us. Much respect to MJ and their team and fans. The fans didn’t heckle or anything on our way out, that says a lot to me.

great game, #6 and #7 are legit and 77 as well. We missed a lot of tackles on 7, he’s a shifty and strong runner, violent runner. I still like our guy tho, both teams played hard and refs were among the worst I’ve seen at any level. Malaki should still be leading the nation and he has a visit at Georgia tech tomorrow. Good luck to the bears, maybe we can do it again in the playoffs at some point.

He is a great talent and an even better kid. I think he is def D1 talent but we will see. Right now I am just enjoying watching him. I am just ready to beat Cookeville then worry about MJ. I am not kidding about Warren not being an easy out, they have some players than can give you trouble. They have one small back, cant remember his number but last name is Pleasant that can flat out fly. If he gets in the open field no one is catching him. They also have an above average QB, he can run it and throw it very well. Don't sleep on these dudes, they are tough if you let them hang around. They run the wing-t very well and the mis-direction is very tough to deal with. they are also very well coached and it shows. I felt like we were 2-3 touchdowns better than them but we were very happy to get out of there with a win lol.

They always miss out on big time talent in Sparta. I think the biggest reason is bias from the media, Sparta is not close to any of the major markets like Nashville, Knoxville, Chattanooga or Memphis, we have always had great players get shunned for all state, all region and so forth because the media controls that crap just like in college and pro sports. I don't jump to the NFL conclusion just yet but he is going to make someone a heck of a college football player. I have definitely seen less talented players in power 5 conferences. Just like on the streaming broadcast last week they were talking about the Bogus kid from SC had power 5 offers? Malaki made him look average, he makes everyone look average he plays against. He is about 5'10" and 175-180 pounds and strong as a bull and he has the natural body lean and the natural ability to stick his foot in the ground and cut on a dime without slowing down. if you haven't seen him live you're in for a treat. He is humble and a great kid and every team has kids talk smack to him and all he does is rack up yards and touchdowns. Your middle linebacker has been heckling him for weeks on social media. That is not a smart idea lol, talk is talk, having to face him is something else entirely. Win or loose they wont ever forget his name, that I guarantee.

I definitely don’t underestimate you all, on paper you should win. I’m just saying this is a different team than last year and we scared you last year. I’m excited for the game in a few weeks, hopefully no injuries for either team.

We will see in a few weeks. Talk is talk, if you think it’s only one player you are mistaken. Last I looked you haven’t beat any world beaters either lol you’re 1-1 we are 3-0. You better get past warren before you talk crap, we will roll in at 4-0 in a few weeks and you will be at best 2-1 very possibly 1-2 so keep talking.

You’ll also find out next week warren county isn’t an easy out either. They have 2-3 really good backs and a pretty good qb. I dare you all to underestimate them.
