I wouldn’t say he choked it. That was a very good Clay Co team they lost to, and they made a very impressive comeback right up to the end.

Maybe Sequatchie County. They are a solid 3A team with a tough schedule. Other than that the only challenge might be not falling over their own feet. But hey, crazier things have happened.

Midway in Rockwood got an a brawl this past week. I believe Midway has multiple elections.

Coalfield takes it by a wide margin even with ejections. We do need to sure up a few things this week. Not a good showing last week by any means on offense, that could lead to trouble later. Defense played well. Just need to stay disciplined this week.

Did anyone hear anything from the “parade” Wartburg had?

Was certainly not their best performance last year. But I think CF had more penalty yards than Wartburg had total yards. Coalfield has to be careful

We were even in some close games that shouldn’t have been close. We usually don’t start well.

It’ll be interesting to see how the field conditions are come game time with all the rain that has hit the past few days.

I actually thought CF showed some fight after shooting themselves in the foot early. Dug a 28-0 hole early if I remember right. Might have been 35, I’m not too sure.

The Coalfield run game looked good this week. That’s on top of the great passing offense they have. Oliver Springs would have to play perfect to win. Only weakness Coalfield showed was on ST. Shanked a punt and ran by a lot of kick returns.

They have the perfect offense for their location too. I don’t think a modern day spread offense would work as well as what they do up there

Very well said. Not to say complexity is better but you tend to see teams that are more RPO and Zone run based make it further than the teams who’s best play is the QB scramble

Sometimes it’s best to cut out the middle man and just do what your best at lol
