I agree with this. Turner is a beast and has endurance like no other. Turner beat Ribble 3-1 but I believe he would beat him 9-10 times. Turner has beat several top guys in several weight classes. He is a dog.

Am I missing something? How is the Turner kid from Harpeth not ranked!? He pined #2 Lucas Martin from hillwood a few weeks ago and Lucas Martin easy won region in 116. He also beat the kid from sycamore who won his bracket at region. and,Turner won his bracket at Region. HOW IS HE NOT RANKED!? haha

1 Fairview is legit. Even when they play bad, they can pull out wins. Except tonight. They played terrible and still hung in there against WH heritage. But lost. 2 Cheatham can be great but aside from their top 2-3 players, they are just SR heavy and beatable. Ussually if you stop Carter,#10. You have a chance. But he is legit and can score even when face guarded. #myMVPvote Harpeth and Heritage and about even. They can hang with the top 2 teams but also get blown out by them. sycamore isn’t good. They have some young guys carrying the team but I don’t see them pulling out of the bottom spot

It was a good game. Thought Fairview was going to put them away big time. Cheatham showed they can fight back. Harpeth lacks experience and it showed in the Fairview loss. They proved they can play with the best. Tomorrow vs Cheatham should be a good one. I think Fairview is going to blow wHH out of the water tomorrow

I haven’t gotten to watch any of these games but I thought waverly would be better than that.

This district might be more competitive than we all thought. It’s just one game, but both those games were pretty good to watch!

Easy now, haha. Not trying to talk trash. Just staying my opinion like you did. I don’t have any kids on Harpeth. Could probably say the same about you for Cheatham.. anyway… Yes, they pulled the starters, however they have those 2nd and third string guys in rotation. Most of those kids that finished the game came in with 3 mins to go in the first. Not like those kids kids are just bench riders. I’m glad you were at that game. That was one of harpeths worse performances since they played Greenbrier. It was a number 10 show. You can’t play 1v1 against good pasture and expect to win. You can’t play transitive property. Just because you think one team is good, doesn’t mean they can win a district because of how they did against your team. Fun fact, all of Harpeths losses are to teams ranked in top 10 of their classes and to schools larger than them and or private. Not that I should explain, but I don’t have any kids in this fight. Just a basketball fan that moved into the district years ago and follow sports. I don’t just look at box scores, I have a subscribsion to NHFS. If I can’t watch the games live, I watch on there.

Fairview lost to Glallatin yesterday. I think that was a good test for them. Held their own for a while. Cheatham and Harpeth couldn’t pull out wins. Cheatham lost to pearl by a bit. Also, From my understanding, MLK was missing a few for the Cheatham game. Idk if I would call Overton a good win since they have losing record. Harpeth got spanked today. 1-12 is solid for goodpasture. Harpeth played UgLy. Maybe on a good day could’ve kept it between 10-15 I think we all agree on how the district is laying out so far… fairview, Cheatham, heritage/Harpeth…………………. Sycamore

I agree. Fairview has maybe 2 games that might have proven something for them. However, I don’t see them losing the district. Maybe dropping one to Cheatham or Harpeth. Cheatham has potential to compete with Fairview but also split games with Harpeth and heritage. Depends on who steps up. Harpeth is a strong 3rd. They are really deep. Alan it a new leading scorer every game. They might surprise me and somehow get ahead of Cheatham with a split and some help from another team beating Cheatham. Heritage will probably stay around 4th unless Harpeth loses its momentum, I don’t see them taking 3rd. Just not seeing it from sycamore. They haven’t done anything that impressed me at the games I saw. They play hard but I don’t see them playing at the lvl Cheatham, Harpeth are at right now. Very impressed with the district. We aren’t blowing all the teams away in points, but they are winning games and that’s what’s important

Any updates on the district?

Good for them. I believe they can play with a lot of teams with the role players stepping up. Heard Harpeth won. Not sure exactly how the game went, but heard they started off great then Houston co. Battled back and kept it within 10 or so. Ended up winning by 15 or something. I know the SR guard that played a lot last year is doing well. After him I’m not sure who’s next. Heard that freshman is playing really well.

Everyone but WHH came away with a victory. Fairview did well. They are so consistent. Harpeth dominated Liberty Creek. They are getting better.

I agree with this statement. My thought on the district earlier have changed. Looking ahead, Harpeth has a lot of tough games coming up. Gonna give those young guys a lot of experience

I did say that. And honestly I may have spoke too soon anout sycamore. Harpeth clearly didn’t shoot well. I would still expect them to finish top3.

Saw the score of the Harpeth game and watch the huddle highlights and scores. Talked to a couple people as well. They trailed by 6 at halftime against greenbrier. Then greenbrier ran off and left them. Harpeth couldn’t hit a shot. Finished shooting 11% from the 3 and 40% from 2. Greenbrier is pretty good! Harpeth has some work to do

I would put Fairview first. Then Harpeth, then Cheatham. Harpeth is really deep this year. Got to see them play in a scrimmage the other night

Cheatham will be good. Returned a lot But beatable. Fairview lost their best player but have a strong 1-2 guards that probably improved. Harpeth lost their leading scorer and rebounder but picked up a ton of talent in new tryouts and freshman. Whitehouse most likely improved but graduated a lot of their talent. Sycamore is easily the worst team on this list
