Why would he consider leaving a higher paying job at a 3A school to get a pay cut that has lackluster facilities and a very small budget? But on the flip side, he would likely get mowing the grass on the game field added to his list of responsibilities... Whoever started that rumor is like TN fans during the dark years of Dooley and Butch Jones, believing a top coach would actually come to the dumpster fire that was taking place in K-town. I don't buy it, Greenback needs to hire a former player or coach because that is the only way the Greenback community will support the program.

With you being the superfan, surprised you didn't know that the Entire season, Maryville started on offensive line, a sophmore at Left Tackle and a Junior at Right Tackle. Also, you say "now losing 9 of 11 on defense" - try 10, only 1 Junior started (at Defensive back), the rest were seniors. But interesting fact, of the 10 senior starters on defense, 6 of them were 1st time starters (4 returning starters on Def). So Rebels will have 10 new starters on defense vs 6 this past year. Don't think that quite justifies a 5-5 season.
