I see you beat me to the answer. I agree he’s a great athlete, but he’s also a great all around kid. I’ve been told he was a really good wrestler when he competed in that sport too.

I doubt you’ll be getting anymore QB transfers after that anemic offense you put on the field last year. That offense was so bad that I bet Jeremy bates is still rolling over in his grave. And I know you won’t get any o line transfers after seeing that stand straight up blocking scheme you installed last year. You better hope the baseball coach is developing a couple more linemen that can match what the baseball player did last year. If Dolly’s high school wants to move the ball next year then the DC should call plays on both sides of the ball and the baseball coach needs to coach hardball in the spring and Oline in the fall. #RIPSteveBrewerEra #BringBackTheForwardPass

Yes I played in the NFL, which team did you play for…….. that’s what I thought. Yes I did coach midddle school football, and I won a lot. I could teach the forward pass, maybe one day your OC will learn how to. But I doubt it. I also volunteer my time to make sure the kids of sevier, Jefferson, and Cocke counties have a team to play football on. What have you done to teach the youth the fundamentals of football? Nothing I’m sure. I’ve dedicated my professional career to teaching the youth of sevier county about the dangers of drug use. Yet you get on here and try to insult me?? Go somewhere else with that jazz. Here’s the deal, pal. I will continue to ensure the kids of this area have an organization to play football in. I will continue to coach the youth of my school zone the fundamentals of football. I will continue to protect and serve the citizens of sevier county. And I will continue to get on coach t and point out the lack of development of the student athletes at Dolly Parton’s alma mater, particularly on the offensive side of the ball. And there’s nothing you can do about it.

I know you people hang on every word I say. But I don’t live on coach t. I got other things to deal with than explaining basic football concepts to you. I’m sure you’ll reply real quick because you people live to see what ol Murphy has to say.

Oh, so you solved the mystery . I guess ol Murph saying the baseball coach is good at developing linemen got to you. Here’s the deal pal. I schedule the teams that will play me then I beat them. Unlike your precious HC who schedules down and still loses.

Shouldn’t be hard to figure out. Only one NFL team I can think of that had to change their name because of public outcry. It’s a shame what political correctness has done to this country.

You expect me to believe you enjoy sports? After what you saw on the field last year and you still support the coaches tells me all I need to know. Oline standing straight up is bad coaching. QB hesitant and bad feetwork is bad coaching. Pre snap read and that 3 step drop is developed in practice. You either don’t know the game, or you’re one of the “coaches” that helped develop that bad “offense”. As far as qualifications, I played pro ball and I coached middle school ball. Overall best record for middle school coaches in sevier county. So yeah I’m qualified to express my opinion on football. What’s your qualifications Mr. FBisnotmything?

I thought so too. But I’m just some guy in the stands spewing venom and warning kids about the dangers of eraser beer, so obviously I don’t know anything about football.

I’m surprised Riley hasn’t had more success there. Only high school in the county and several youth and middle school teams feeding the high school, so I would assume there’s talent there. Not sure what the problems are there.

Thanks. You seem to have good insight on high school football and I enjoy your posts. I can’t really blame the guy for moving every couple of years. Not staying at a job for long seems to be the way of the world now.

I’ve always tried to teach the youth about the fundamentals in football and also in life. Unfortunately JNA, Physical,LMAOc, 1OldClown, and so called coaches don’t appreciate my efforts. What these coaches don’t realize is that most of them learned about football playing in my youth league. Despite the scorn I receive on here I will continue to impart my knowledge of football on the youth and I will express my opinion on coach T.

Barney, this a good point. I remember when Jim Davis covered local sports in Sevier County and he was on top of everything. He covered high school, middle school, English mountain football, sevier county elementary basketball, Sevierville pony league games, anything you can name. If it involved sports in sevier county he covered it. I also remember when Keith Jones was sports editor and he did a really good job covering local sports. I was happy to pay for a newspaper subscription back then. But now local sports barely get covered. I can read more on coach T or Facebook than I can in the local paper. But I’m not spewing venom. I realize the obstacles local newspapers face and I appreciate the efforts they give on local sports. But I do miss the old days when the local newspapers covered all the local sports. Guess I’m just an old timer sitting in the stands with no insight on local sports. Or fundamentals of the sports being played.

I’m not as disgruntled as the coaches that lost to Newport.
