  1. I don’t think anyone is being disrespectful, but with what both teams lost/returned in players….Greeneville would probably be the early favorite.
  2. Oh ok…. Good luck to you guys.. great group of kids.
  3. Greeneville starters just played one series in the 11/11. Drove right down field. I don’t think Boone had any positive yards on offense (with first teams in). And in the 1 on 1s and 7/7 part Boone had no answer for Devils passing and speed
  4. Lol. Good quote. Last night they were the ones getting hit too unfortunately for them.
  5. I think Boone is down. (Blazer might be better able to answer that.). Devils would have looked against anyone though….
  6. They did. In a big way.. running game, passing game, and defense
  7. So… I ventured out and watched …. Wow. Look out 4A….the Devils steamrolled them in every aspect of the game. Devils looked very impressive. Passing and running, and defense was dominant!
  8. They also have one of the nicest fields, facilities, and Jumbotron around now.
  9. I’ve never understood why people like try to turn everything into an argument and throws accusations and insults. For the record you have no clue. And I’m not really Much of a JJ fan at all. His comments were true. Football gets a bad rap because of injuries etc, he was saying anything we can do to allow and get kids to keep playing this great game is a good thing. I’ve got very mixed feeling on the transfer portal of HS football, but trying to get more kids playing is a good thing. He in no way meant kids should play with injuries. It’s obvious that you do not like Jj and are looking to bash
  10. Again. Just an opinion. But he wasn’t sayin to play with concussions. That is a true statement. Football does get a bad rap sometimes because of concussions
  11. People have gotten paid. To wear a certain gear to camps etc…. They just don’t announce it
  12. I didn’t take it like he wanted kids playing with concussions. I think coaches probably shouldn’t have commented, but my take from what he said was…. Just that with concussion and everything that people use as reason for kids not to play football, that everything that can be done to encourage more kids to play the game is needed.
  13. Greeneville vs Elizabethton. 4 out of last 6 state titles
  14. That’s not entirely accurate… there have been a few, they just haven’t made it public
  15. Also, Boone and Greeneville scrimmage next Friday. I’m sure it will be a “working” scrimmage where they just go 10 plays each over and over from 40 and no score keeping
  16. Might be shocked. But don’t think TN can compete with Greeneville.. Farragut DB will be an interesting game. I think Farragut defense will be really good. And so will DBs offense.
  17. This can be very complicated and can be different each case. Coaches shouldn’t be able to actively recruit like they do (yes. Some do) but also should a kid just forgo his career because their happens to be someone better at his position….or worse a political or daddyball situation?
  18. I think Covid years and things had the schedule messed up. It went 4/6 and 6/4 a couple years and I think this was done to get back to 5 home and 5 away
  19. I agree. Ultimately the parent has to be willing, but some coaches can get pretty “convincing”
  20. If you think coaches don’t actively recruit. Then you are the one who need to go back to school. Also. I just made a comment. Keep the smart #### to yourself
  21. I agree with you guys. Playing some tough teams may help you get used to the speed etc that may help you down the road, the risk of injury is too great. Another benefit of a weaker schedule is that it gives younger guys opportunities to get in games that helps build/sustain your program
