  1. Yes, he served as an assistant at Shelbyville 2017-2019, and was recently an assistant at Cascade, according to the Community HS, Facebook post.
  2. Who ever the next coach is at Warren County is going to have much easier schedule to work with. https://tssaasports.com/sports/schedules/?sport=football&schoolYear=2025 Aug. 22, 2025Fri DeKalb Co. 3. Coffee County will appeal to move to Region 4-6A in football https://thunder1320.com/tssaa-announces-new-regions-for-2025-school-year-coffee-county-plans-to-appeal-football-placement/
  4. Warren County is a dumpster fire, who would apply for this job? Does the administration or the community really care? It's really pathetic a school of 1800 students, and you have to resort to going non region for two years.
  5. It's going to be very difficult to attract a successful coach to Warren County, unless the administration makes a commitment to the football program. You mentioned Sid Fritts in your newsletter, he was a very successful coach, I think he coached at Sequatchie Co., and had success there in the 1990s, and later would go onto have great success in Georgia.
  6. You're right unfortunately Coffee County is in a no win situation, no region has an advantage over another. They are also in area in southern middle TN, where most of the nearby schools are in 5A. The closest 6A schools are Warren County which opted out, and Shelbyville which will be in the same region with them next year.
  7. Add Claiborne County https://portal.tssaa.org/common/bulletinboard/index.cfm?category=position
  8. It appears that Coach Hayworth will be back , but changes or additions to his staff for 2025. https://portal.tssaa.org/common/bulletinboard/index.cfm?category=position New Franklin Co. High School (Winchester, TN) 24 hours old Franklin Co. High School is seeking high quality assistant football coaches. Coachingpositions will be determined based on qualifications, experience and abilities. At this time allteaching certifications will be considered for possible future openings including an immediateposition as a “Fundamentals of Construction” teacher. Interested applicants can submit theirresumes to Head Coach, Tracy Hayworth: [email protected], Athletic Director, KellyKennedy: [email protected], and Assistant Principal, Brad Cowan: [email protected].
  9. I don't live in Lawrence County, not familiar with the situation there. I'm hearing the region that there in Region 5-5A, is going to be a lot tougher the next few years, with possible Page, Nolensville, and possibly Centennial added. So that might have factored in. Lawrence County has always been good in other sports, basketball, and baseball, never understood why they couldn't be more successful in football. Loretto and Summertown always have good football teams.
  10. Add Community HS, also David Marston has resigned at Lawrence County after 22 years.
  11. Your exactly right ,the coach is not the problem, it's an administration problem. I don't live in Warren County, but I have listened to several podcasts from Warren County sports reporters, trying to understand what the problem is . Having listened to those podcasts. What I have understood, you have a county that is behind the times. 1. Just in the last few years they have started a youth program in Warren County. 2. They have just started dedicated weight program, other schools have solid strength and conditioning programs for over a decade 3. Lack of commitment from the county to build a new football stadium on campus. They built a new high school in the 1990s. The football team is still playing at the middle school in a stadium that is 60 years old. Success in Warren County will not come over night, when you have not progressed with the times. Coach Matt Turner, is a Warren County alum, and he knows what the problems are. Until the county, and the community makes a commitment to the football program , they will continue to be stuck in mediocrity.
  12. I have heard some talk about Region 5-5A. I don't know about Region 6 and 7. it will be interesting to see what happens there. Region 5 Page, Nolensville, possibly Centennial, Columbia Central, Lawrence County, Lincoln County, Tullahoma, Franklin County. Region 5 loses Shelbyville (6A) ,and Spring Hill (4A), and picks up from 6-5A Page, Nolensville, and Centennial. All just speculation at this point, who knows what the TSSAA will do. There are so many 5-A schools in the Nashville Metro area it will be interesting to see how these schools are divided up.
  13. I'm not from Warren County, but I think you're right it was the best decision for the program. It's really a shame that a school of there size, cant be more competitive.
  14. Warren County has decided to file to play a non region schedule in football for the next two years. This decision has to be approved by the TSSAA in there upcoming meeting.
