  1. Great article, I had always wondered why Warren County couldn't be more successful, this article really answered those questions. I remember Bobby Newby had some great teams there, in the 1970's and 1980's, he also had a young assistant named Gary Rankin on staff at that time. I think Warren County has chosen the right coach in Matt Turner, I hope they will be patient with him. Coach Turner has also been pushing for a new on campus football stadium, I hope that becomes a reality.
  2. Good win for Tullahoma, I think it surprised everybody. I think Columbia thought they would come into Tullahoma, and steam roll over Tullahoma with there size advantage. I think Tullahoma proved again, they were the better conditioned team, The running back McCoy going out hurt the Lions, as well as there kicking game. Tullahoma also blew some opportunities to put more points on the board. It should be lesson to any team not to underestimate your opponents.
  3. Videos I have seen of Columbia, they have a big line, and they have a lot of speed. There running back McCoy had over 200 yards last week against Lawrence County.
  4. Exactly, it will be interesting to see how Franklin County does against Shelbyville this week.
  5. I'm a Tullahoma fan, I can't see them beating Shelbyville. No one has held them under 35 points all season, they have two many weapons on offense.
  6. Well said Scott, The people you're referencing are obviously not Tullahoma fans, although they make some good points at times. They certainly have a right to there opinion, it's so easy to get to get caught up in the negativity, sometimes it's best to ignore or hide there posts.
  7. Watched a YouTube video of the game between Lawrence County and Columbia. Columbia is big up front, and running back Cayden McCoy had over 200 yards in there 31-0 victory over Lawrence County. Lawrence County moved the ball against Columbia, but shot themselves in the foot in the red zone. Columbia plays at Tullahoma next week. I would say Columbia will win by two two touchdowns or more. They have too much size, and team speed. Shelbyville at Franklin County. Shelbyville over Franklin County Lincoln County at Giles County. Giles County over Lincoln County Lawrence County at Spring Hill. Lawrence County over Spring Hill
  8. That decision could come back to bite them, later in the year It could cost them a playoff berth.
  9. My understanding is any player that is ejected must set out the next game. Both teams cannot afford missing players.
  10. Khani Johnson is out for Tullahoma for sure, and RB Marvancy Johnson missed last week with an ankle injury, I don't know if he will back or not. I don't know if Hammonds will be out or not.
  11. Marvancy Johnson missed last week for Tullahoma, wonder if he will be back?
  12. Columbia 28 Lawrence Co. 14 Tullahoma 17 Lincoln Co. 14
  13. You're right it's good to stay positive and support whatever program you are for.
  14. Long season ahead, I wouldn't count out Shelbyville getting to the second or third round of the playoffs They have too many weapons on offense, there defense is there weakness at times. Some very good teams in the opposite region, Centennial, Nolensville, and Page, but they appear at this stage, not as good as they have been. As far as Tullahoma is concerned, I would be surprised if they're any changes in the coaching staff, as long as John Olive is AD. Too many ties to Olive on the staff, and too many meddling members of the Quarterback Club. A very toxic environment
  15. I was at the game it was a historic season for Tullahoma. I think Coach Olive saw the handwriting on the wall, and saw the down turn in talent in the upcoming classes, which prompted his retirement. Tullahoma is not a program that reloads, it s always been a program that's been up and down.
  16. Off topic, but Tullahoma is terrible on offense, undersized, and don't have the athletes on offense like they had 2020 and 2021. And a questionable hire as head coach.
  17. Once again you're absolutely right. And too many influential members in the Quarterback Club, I think that is why DeLaughter left, that is what i am hearing. I think Coach Sisk is in a bad situation, he inherited a coaching staff, that he can't change. Coach Torres, the offensive line coach retired after 2021 season, they replaced him with a volunteer assistant. You're right too many coaches tied to the AD John Olive, and that is the problem.
  18. Your right in your assessment, some people don't want to hear the truth. I wouldn't count Tullahoma as #4 either. The offensive line is undersized, and you're right the play calling is terrible. An undersized offensive line, and two many three and outs, are not going to win many ball games, In my opinion this years Tullahoma offense, reminds me of the winless 2015 season. They had a more talented quarterback in Delaughter, who is a better athlete, and let him transfer. Turns out that was the best fit for him to do.
  19. Yeah I could see Tullahoma struggling and possibly losing. This is the worst Tullahoma offense since the winless 2015 season. And the play calling by the coaches isn't helping. I could see them not making the playoffs, if they don't get things turned around. Franklin County- Moore County should be a great game. I think Moore County wins in a close game.
  20. Interesting region games this week Columbia at Lawrence County, and Tullahoma at Lincoln County. The rest of the teams are out of the region Franklin County at Moore Co., Shelbyville at Wilson Central, Spring Hill vs James Lawson. I would give Tullahoma the edge over Lincoln County, but the Falcons always play tough at the Pit. Columbia seems to be getting better every week I would give them edge over Lawrence Co. I think Moore Co., will beat Franklin Co. in a close game.
  21. No doubt Delaughter is a better athlete. It turned out he made the right decision in transferring. He seems to be doing good at Shelbyville, Tullahoma didn't give him a chance.
  22. Big win for Franklin County, big win Shelbyville over Columbia. Still a long season ahead Shelbyville is the front runner, with Columbia 2nd, and Franklin County 3rd, in Region 5-5A. Fourth place is wide open between the rest of the teams.
  23. You're underestimating Franklin County. I think this will be a close game, and could go either way.
  24. Glad to see this rivalry renewed. Some people have posted over and over again how weak this region is. Weak region or not, I'll take it any day I say the TSSAA got it right for once.
