Very true statement but the GP Gullibles thought that he would just love the ability to beat up on the little teams in the area and then cry no fair when they had to play someone decent. I mean GP did beat a 5A school (1-9 Cocke County) event though the game was called early and CC was on the comeback according to my buddy that was there. Problem with the GP Gullibles is they want to win but also want little johnny to start because his daddy pays a lot of money to the program. so it is okay to recruit players to come to play there as long as it does not effect little johnnys playing time.

OK, I dont think i said anything about his ability to coach but he enjoys the interview process because he loves to be petted and praised which is why his selfie game is so strong. He did not leave GP in a better place becuase he led all the GP gullibles to believe he was there for life and then bailed on them at first opportunity. There is nothing honorable about going to a program and staying for only a few years and then leaving when the talent graduates.

Well the soccer coach will certiaiinly schedule the weakest teams possible and then cry when they lose to someone half way good which is the GP way. The GP gullibles will love him for sure. He has to be better at coaching than the basketball duo who recruits the best talent but cannot when against lesser talented teams with good coaching.

Everyone that knew the GP coach knew he only cared about easy wins and having a strong selfie game. I think he applied for every job under the sun every single year and then would tell the poor GP gullibles that he was GP for life. I know he applied for three jobs down near my way and did not get to the final interviews because they knew he was a used car salesman. i bought some snake oil off of him one time at the gas station corner and still have arthritis. Wake up GP people he used you and bolted when the recruiting well ran dry.

Best to just run from good competition, bow out early, claim unfairness in athletes or officiating and then bang there chest that they had a great season. Seems to be the county motto of Sevier

I love watching Bearden people on here complaining about recruiting when they have the scummiest rrecruiting coach in the state. Maryville has always gotten the players they want and I guess ole Jones thought he could swindle a few good years recruiting players and then playing in public school. for those that have been on the upper east tennessee side of the state, this is normal for GP in every sport. GP has never lost a fair game, they have only been cheated. They schedule the worst possible teams year in and year out and beat them easily and cry foul when they have to play someone good. It has been the same song and dance for as long as I can remember. They recruited most of those girls and still could not win the big games. Just goes to show you it doesnot matter how good a public school recruits if the coach chokes in big games.

Don't know much about girls basketball, but I can tell you that there is not one coach at GP that has any class. The whole mentality of GP athletics is beat up on the little guys or girls and then puff your chest out like you are awesome. they have done this for years and then when they have to play a good team they get beat and say awe that is not fair because they have actual good players on there team. So they run to another away from real competition like the football team did this past year. The whole GP school is classless school with a bully mentality and when they get punched in he mouth they quit.

Bearden will not be as good next year as they were this year, which in the grand scheme of things was not a very good team. They were better than average, but not considering the amount of recruits they brought in. I have not heard one person say a good or even kind word about Jones ever. The most popular word I hear when somone is talking about Jones is scum. And the DC there could not win a little league game as a head coach, he make no adjustments.

It is comical because even with all of the recruits Jones is not good enough to get past the third round in a down 6A year. I think they barely make the playoffs next year and if they do Jones will have them bounced in the first round. He is a great cheater but average coach.

Also, some coaches and schools in this like GP and Bearden would rather spend all of their time trying to recruit better players instead of making the ones that are already there better, you know the ones that grew up cheering for those teams and the ones that are willing to play all out for the school. Not the ones there just for the NIL deals. But hey the GP coach has a really strong selfie game, not much in the area of character and integrity, but his twitter and selfie game are really good.

I grew up in upper east tennessee and in my opinion schools have stop taking football seriously. The fans still take it seriously and the coaches and teams do during the season. But there seems to be little accountablility to players in the offseason and coaches don;t seem to be willing to change there offenses and defenses to best fit there players. This is not the case for all of the teams but most it seems

I have heard that several Bearden lifers are not very happy with jones bringing in all these recruits and doing his shaddy dealings. How can anyone that grew up going to Bearden games since they were kids liking what he has turned the Bearden program into. a public school using private school recruiting is all it is. Recruit a bunch of guys beat up on the not so good teams and fold when it the playoffs get tough.

There is no doubt that Region 1 3A is the weakest in the state, that is why GP asked to be moved up there, afraid of competition. Same reason they schedule every terrible team they can find. Looks like they are not the only school in the county running from competition big brother down the mountain did the same thing for the same reason.
