I think contract may be the way to go-but for the most part football games are played on Friday nights-soccer played throughout the week with more opportunities for cancellations and more games played as a whole-sometimes you have to cancel to get a district game in-esp in a year like this where their has been so much rain throughout the region. Just my opinion

Good or bad the actions of the coach often sets the tone for his or her players and the fans. As a young coach I often found myself fussing about and commenting on every foul good or bad-then one match the center ref comes over to me gives me a yellow card and says "coach you know your players are watching" that along with good meds has brought me along way /smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />

Field size, quality of the field, weather conditions all effect the outcome of the game and typically favor the weaker team it levels the playing field so to speak-A team that likes to use the flanks will be effected by the width of the field and teams with great speed that like to play direct will be effected by the length-less space to cover for the the defending team- and less space to play into for the attacking team-that is just two examples

K to the topic not really sure of the game but 3-0 turning into a 3-4 result is the biggest differential that I have seen overcome-Might have been that Cookeville/Riverdale game mentioned earlier.

Well my U12 girls team playing in their first tournament at the Bash got whipped 21-0 (we laugh today and even that day about it) we used it as a learning experience I pulled players off talked to them showed them what the other team was doing etc-Now as 8th graders they have beaten CCS,Tullahoma,Harris,Central etc and at U14 are a competitive team in select. The loss didn't bother me and the subs were just as good as their starters-but on the High School level I may react differently because even on deep teams there is a drop off after maybe 13-14-The thing that gets me is not when ND scores 11 when they have subbed all and placed restrictions It is when a team leaves their stud in 8 min left in the game leading 11-0 and she already has 5 goals (that is a little much) anyway done

Can't understand why anyone would complain about girls soccer being mistreated shoot at our High School in Warren Co-the football team sends half their team from their practice field to our game field and practices when we are not on the pitch-Now that is cooperation.

That is not a valid statement-The High School soccer boys are very competitive advancing to the District-Semi this year with a 8-5-2 record and they play the Murfreesboro teams-They have finished no worse than 4th in their district in the last what like 9years With at least 4 district titles 2 region titles and a state semi birth-The boys tennis team had an outstanding record this year-finishing second in the district with Vance going to region. They to compete against the Murf-schools. I love the football team but there are other successfull sports programs at the high school
