1) I'm starting to think Darden is very, very, very fortunate/luck he got fired. 2) Who in the world would want to go coach at a school who just fired a Hall of Fame Coach with 8 State tourney appearences and 599 wins?

Being a former player of Coach Darden's, I have been keeping up with all of this nonsense for the last few months. From what I have heard, people were claiming that he was not a good Christian influence, which Cates, Shnikens, and Bergil24 will laugh out the door. He did always read a Bible verse before practice along with a life lesson. He taught me so much about the Christian life, more than any other coach did in my three years under Coach Darden. He is a difficult coach to play for, because he demands exellence, and pays extreme attention to detail. He is not easy on anyone, trust me, because I had it the worst. He always told it like it was, whether it was good or bad. He always praised and encouraged you when you did something well. He was a very honest coach, and everyone who played for him appreciated that and loved him for it. To say he was not a very good basketball coach is would mean you would have had to never seen him coach or one of his teams play. He took a CAK team to the State Tournament, with a little talent, and at least eight other teams before his stint at CAK. I am ashamed to be a CAK graduate, and to have had anything to do with the place. If it were not for Rusty, I would certainly never go back. Sometime parents have to realize their kids are not perfect, and are not going to be the next Michael Jordan. If 599 wins, at least 8 state tournaments, being in the Hall of Fame, and being the best role model on CAK's campus is not enough, I will never know what is.

CAK's enrollment is about 420 now, it was 250 four years ago.

I would like to add that when CAK won their first state title, the enrollment was around 240.

I think it will be very low scoring, CAK has a very good defense, loudons defense is good but CAKs offense is inconsistent.

Incredible gobbler51. My take is i think CAK has the ability to scheme for Alcoa like most teams cannot because of the passing game. There are some major holes in the Alcoa Defense. If Derron Logan stays healthy, he has the ability to make game-changing plays. It will be closer than some people say, and a very good high school game.

cak will be much better than people think. derron will suprise everybody if he doesnt get hurt and take the load off of the young but talented qb´s. the defense will be nasty, the 3-5 fits cak speed perfectly and with derron at safety, the defense will be improved from last year. i think they will finish 2nd in their region and go 9-1 or 8-2.

CAK has 4 people playing in college, which is our record for signees. SS55, that kid i told you about that is going to C-N from CAK (Andrew Fox) is working out at D-1 now. Hope your mouth feels better.

I heard Shaun Smith from Farragut is going to C-N, as is Andrew Fox from CAK, Matt French from Webb, and Rob Longworth from Central. CAK had a record 4 sign from there.

You have obviously not seen Ingle play. He is extremely inconsistent.

CAK did not loose its only threat. Although harb and smith were good, They still have their leading 3 tacklers, there is something to be said for that. Derron will open eyes next year, he is the most talented back in the region, not the best, but the most talented.

Only if derron gets 25-30 touches a game will they be good.

Marcus is an outstanding coach and recruiter. And grace is going to be a good football team next year, in a few years, Satt. will have them to CAKs level

I'm not convinced riverdale had a ton of talent as well. In my opinion they lost to a less talented Oak Ridge team. I also think Reid was a good coach. If you saw a riverdale game, they had about five plays, and they were all to gaston miller. We will see.........

Lanxter and Sommers are the best in East Tennessee, much less region 2-AA

Bart Hicks from alcoa is underated because of the "big" names, he is outstanding Joseph Bennet of CAK had 145 tackles in the regular season as a sopomore

Derron Logan will be an aabsoulute stud for CAK next year.
