3 Weeks ago Overton Seemed to the in "the drivers seat" in this region, competing with Gallatin at an undefeated 2-0 in the region. Since then things have turned upside down, with Overton and Antioch not being able to beat many teams. Could this be because the coaching, players talent or just one of those "off" years? I would like to hear some feedback on the coaching and play of Overton Antioch McGavock and Hunters Lane as they all battle to find the bottom spot of that difficult region 5.

Once agian you are wrong. There team was mainly full of sophomores and juniors, and were missing many key players due to football. Not to mention they never practiced. Also if i remeber correctly richie only threw about twice. They were mainly letting younger guys throw and get the in game experince they need. So willl you people please get your get your information correct before you start making conclusion.

i think it should be an Overton Linebacker. All four have 55+ tackles on the Regions best Defense.

Im a part of the overton defense and I think this McGavock guy has a little surprise coming. yeah we gave up 13, but I think everyone knows we control our own destiny. PLUS your offensive coordinator is a JOKE. See ya on Friday.

well he has not pitched agianst as strong of teams that are going to be in state, not to mention he is are starting right fielder, and a freakin awsome one at that. He is good but i dont know how he would match up agianst a team such as collierville or farragot.

Don't forget the pitching rotation of overton. With one of the best pitchers in the state(Richie Goodenow) and a great number 2 pitcher (Steven Suter) they will make a great run for state. There number 3 pitcher isnt that bad either i belive he has only lost one game this year. and there number 4 pitcher is 7-0 but i dont think you will see him in the tourny

Richie Goodenow from Overton. He plays for the brentwood bulldogs during the summer. He is about 6'1'' and i would say about 160-170. He is 12-0 with 110+ k's and under a 1 ERA. He was the 11AAA distric MVP.

Well Overton beat McGavok 11-1 with richie goodenow throwing a complete game with 1 run givin up an i belive 11 k's in only 6 innings. The short stop stephen langston had an amazing day at the plate going 3 of 4 with a home-run, triple, and double, missing the single for the cycle. He also had 6 rbi's. Overton host franklin at 6 or 7 on wensday for the regional finals.

If this is about the Overton Franklin game..Overton had a 10-3 lead going into the 7th, and with a few errors,walks and such the game ended at 10-9, Overton winning! McGavock@Overton tonight @ 6 Franklin@Hunters Lane @ 7??
