what the heck? go somewhere else, this isnt a thread about hyping "your bruins" its about the houston/bartlett game calling us "losers" is uncalled for...you have ZERO class

wait wait wait yes on paper 3-1 looks bad, but were u there stewie? i personally thought the referees did a good job we had houston on their heels for a good 25 minutes after we scored in the 2nd half, they tied up up with less that 20 mins left in the game, their second goal was questionable offsides, i could not tell from the angle i was at, the third goal the got was with 3 minutes left in the game when we had pushed everyone up trying to tie it, so no it was not a houston blowout, it was a great game on both teams part, good luck houston, i really hope yal win state

yeah bartlett is overrated, considering they just took cordova to a shootout to finally lose bartlett always had the lead the entire game and had cordova playing catch up bartlett overrated? i dont think so... im surprised u think so highly of us.. if anything we're underrated and never get any respect

woah, thats surprising #2 bartlett plays #3 millington tonight #4 bolton plays #1 cordova tomorrow night the winners of those games qualify for regionals and play thursday night in district finals

and dyersburg who have u played thats good? you've tied munford (who's only one won game all year) and beat them by one later on not to mention lost to bolton 4-1

don't underestimate bartlett we've been in the district championship 13 times in the past 15 years and have won it 6 times and have won region 7 times (6 consecutive at one point) in the past 9 years and have made it to state quarterfinals/sectionals 8 in the past 9 years this team is led by a large group of seniors and experienced juniors and sophomores who are hungry to keep our winning tradition alive the 6-0 loss to cordova is not what it seems to be, because at the time we had 3 of our best players (mainly our sweeper and our stopper) suspended for 4 games, we know we can contend with cordova so if there's a bartlett/cordova rematch in the district championship this upcoming thursday, you can bet on it being a much closer game

describe this ref? hmmm tall, kind of stocky, long flowing brown hair and a beard...grizzly adams/ mountain man look...haha if im allowed to say that..sorry if im not, ive never seen the guy before..and im a senior and have played for 4 years also watching my brother for 2 years before that, and our coach has never seen him before either and this is his 20th year coaching soccer i wouldnt know what the gtown players would think of this, they probs wouldnt know much because the referee was too busy taunting our coach than actually officiating the game we didnt have anything against the other team, it would of been a good match, we were just victim of bad officiating

hey, curious, what happened in the millington/munford game?

okay, this situation needs more clarification yes the our coach was red carded and we had to forfeit however, this was due to the most unprofessional officiating job i've ever witnessed first off, there were only two referees, and all this happening shows that we (everybody not just our team) clearly need 3 referees at every game anyways the linesman on our side was the most unprofessional referee ever, ive never seen him before, so he must be new, but this was one referee who apparently loves to abuse his power 2 minutes into the game, gtown brings the ball down the left side of our field (the side with the bad referee), the gtown player clearly goes out of bounds with the ball and brings it back in, however the linesman didnt see it, our defense therefore stopped because it should of been a throw in, and the gtwon player launched it into the corner of the net, although i admit our defense never should have stopped playing until the whistle was blown however if witnessed the game then u knew that this referee wasnt going to call it our sweeper argued with the referee that he was out of bounds, nothing happened, so we kick-offed and continued playing, a couple of minutes later the ball went out of bounds again (hit the fence, so clearly out) the referee signalled for a barltett throw in, so we pressed up for an attack waiting for the ball to be thrown in, our defender ran to get the ball, and a gtown player went to get the ball, the gtown player got the ball first, and since it was signalled our throw in, he thought the gtown player was going to give him the ball, however the gtown player threw it in and the referee let play continue and continued to run down the side lines with his arm still raised for a bartlett throw in (im not joking) our coach then questioned what was going on and why it wasn't our throw in because once the referee signals who's ball it is then he can't make a change without giving the other team time to cover because that would be penaltilizing our team for the referee's mistake, anyways the ball got knocked behind the goal, the referee then told our coach that he realized his mistake and he had things under control, however he did not fix his mistake by giving us a throw in at midfield, he gave us a goal kick from the ball being kicked passed the goal... after this, our coach told our players that whenever the ball goes out of bounds to run to it, pick it up and throw it in, the referee then told our coach "that's how ur going to play? i can play ur game too coach" what is this? the referee is taunting our coach, unbelievable again the ball went out again later, the referee signaled for a bartlett throw in and then turned around and looked at our coach and said in a sarcastic tone "WHITE BALL!!!!" so now this one referee was mocking our coach a couple of minutes later, gtown committed a foul near their box, so we got a free kick, now before the game we had been told that TSSAA this year will be seriously cracking down on any team standing in front of a free kick and slowly backing up to allow time for ur team to get back, yes i know we've all done it however we had been warned before the game that this would be an automatic yellow card not only did germantown have one guy in front of the ball, the had 4 guys doing it at once, our coach got up and yelled trying to get the call, the referee slowly got the 4 players to push back, meanwhile another germantown player snuck in behind him in front of the ball acting like he was pointing how to make a wall, okay by then germantown had enough time to get set a few minutes later, the same thing happens yet on the other side of the field away from this one referee, the referee on that side of the field immediately called the infraction and gave a gtown player a yellow card, thus making the referee on our side look bad and finally the last event that brings this whole crazy thing to an end was an uncalled offsides, germantown had three players behind our sweeper and the ball was played over the top of our heads to them our coach did not say anything, however our sweeper starting arguing with the ref about the 3 offsides players, our coach then just said (said, not yelled) "luke, just dont worry about it you cannot do anythign about bad officiating" therefore the referee came over to our bench and started to pull out a yellow, by now our coach was fed up enough with this power hungry referee, so he stood up and said "I don't care, you can give me the yellow, but you still stink" and therefore the referee before he had the yellow out, switched to a red card now, i know how ridiculous this may seem, and i know ppl may not believe me, bcuz people always blame games on referees, so they can just say that im whining,but i've never seen anything in my life like this im not upset that we lost, im upset that we were victims to poor officiating, i give props to germantown they played very well, we did not have a problem with them, and i really wish we could had played a full game with them bcuz although they were good, i do believe we could have competed with them because besides those 2 goals they got off busted calls, we controlled the ball on their side of the field 70 percent of the time

out of AAA? from region 8 u have Houston, Ridgeway, Collerville, Germantown, and White Station from Region 7 Cordova as the favorite, although i predict Bartlett will be a sleeper hit and may surprise quite a few teams by still being able to hang with the big boys we will see....Cordova plays Houston tuesday, and across town Bartlett plays Germantown

play for duke?? im sorry but that just doesn't sound right... what is the kids name? im sure ppl would have heard of him by now..robbie midgett was one of their best players last year who graduated and he signed at Drury College i believe, and as for Clayton Perkins, dont know where he went if anywhere,so u can correct me if im wrong but that just doesn't sound valid.. from what ive heard bolton is very young, and very inexperienced, they lost 16 seniors last year alone, Jason Hobbs the keeper is solid but not amazing, sounds like he had a good game Bolton also lost to Houston 8-0 Cordova is probably the favorite for district 14, although i personally believe they are a bit overrated,they lost their keeper (dont know his name) and their star Nick Burger, and have a new coach, however that is about it, they have Nick Berra who is probs one of the best sweepers in the area, and Ryan Rouser, we will see how they do when they play Houston tuesday, should be an interesting match Barltett has a very experienced defense, and a promising looking offense, not to mention probably one of the most underrated goalies in the area in their 6'6 junior Zach Morgan,who only gave up 2 goals in district play all last year, they also have pretty good depth too, also watch out for this rising sophomore Luke Abrahams, who in fact is actually a better goalie than Morgan, however is so versatile that Bartlett uses him all over the field however this district is always up for grabs between these three teams: Bolton, Bartlett, and Cordova, and so far it looks like any of these teams can claim the district title, we will see
