  1. hey guys lets get real! South Doyle once again stinks. We all know it, and things aren't going to change anytime soon. If West wins by 20...it would be a moral victory for the Kees'. They would probably be better off if Hutchings didn't even show up with that sorry excuse of a team. Not saying that they have much of a coach either, from what I've heard he seems to blame everyone for losses except for himself.
  2. This game is going to be another great one. It is going to strengthen the rivalry between the two teams. Both teams could be in a bind from a pitching standpoint. (South Doyle) McClain threw Friday and Holland threw Saturday, so I am going to predict that the Bell kid will pitch or they will pitch by committee. (Farragut) Catapano threw yesterday and I'm not sure if Delmonico will be able to go after his concussion last night. However, no matter who throws for either team, both of these teams can flat out hit the baseball. Farragut has some senior leadership with the bats, while South Doyle is counting on thier young'ns to come through yet again. Nevertheless, both teams are going to come out fighting. Neither team really likes each other and we all know the two schools have some rowdy fans. This game is going to packed! Everyone wants to see these two teams strap up and go at each other. Good luck to both teams...and may the best team win!
  3. Losing Spradlin will be a big loss...Lakin too. But as for the younger kids...Daniel Evans? what are you thinking? another name I haven't heard very much of is Matt Hargis. He is a good ballplayer. How is he doing? But if you all are relying on Evans and Davis...next year will be another long one.
  4. I agree 100% Grad. and i have a ?....why do some teams not even play the national anthem before games?
  5. It was an unfortunate loss for the Eagles yesterday. Made some errors at the wrong times and left a pitcher in a little too long. But hey, everyone knew that a loss had to come from somewhere. I have a question for the Seymour players also....after seeing weak pitching vs. PF, and then seeing worse pitching in your two games next week against AE, will that effect your hitting on Thursday when you actually see a good pitcher from SD?
  6. Brett Basham, an Ole Miss signee, has one of the strongest arms I have seen in all of Tennessee.
  7. I've been following both of these teams pretty closely and I have been to a few of their games. Koeneman should toe the hill against the Kees, because I believe the only district games they play are against A-E. For SD, I believe they play Maryville and Bearden twice next week so I would imagine that Seymour wouldn't see Holland or McClain due to their scheduling, so they might come with Bell, not real sure though, that just seems like their rotation so far. Im still trying to figure it out. But as for the outcome, if the Bell kid can throw a good game, I say that SD lights up Koeneman. Not taking anything away from him, but the 2 games I've seen SD play (Farragut and Jeff Co.) , they have hit good pitching very well. So I'm going to go with the Cherokees in this one.
  8. Congratulations to South Doyle on their win tonight. I arrived in the bottom of the 3rd inning, and the whole time I was there SD dominated. They are a solid defensive team, and they can hit the ball well too.
  9. Red Bank is a very talented team this year. They should give Ooltewah a run for their money.
  10. I agree w/ ya there Grace. Just play hard and do your job. But so far so good from what I have seen from the umps.
  11. I know that South Doyle is supposed to play Farragut tomorrow, but where is this game supposed to be played and what time? and will Friday's and Saturday's rain have any effect on wether the game will be played or not?
  12. You will lose the first game, because I don't think you all can hit Grahm, but after Grahm they are pretty weak, so I think you win the second.
  13. When we played the Cherokees, there was no prob. w/ the lighting in the infield. That just sounds like an early excuse for losing by the Admirals. And this year is definatly a good year at SD. and with this team that they have, i believe that they would have given last year's Farragut team a run for their money, so there is no doubt that they will this year.
  14. Alcoa and Gibbs????? if you are calling that good competition, then you need to go watch some other teams play. Neither of those teams are great. They are just decent at the most.
  15. and maryville.....not the powerhouse from the past there seymour. as far as i can tell, you are yet to prove yourself.
  16. Seymour has a talented team. There is no doubt about it. But it is true that their district is really weak. I mean...who do you play???? really??? They are a good AA team, but I dont think that they would survive with all of the big boys up in AAA. A few of their players could......well one of them could make an impact in AAA. But other than that, they aren't really anything special.
  17. Should be a good game, but i'm gonna go with Willy B.
  18. Catapano will have his strikeouts and Farragut will have their hits and some runs, however, SD does have a lot of talent and if their youngens come ready to play, then I think they will win this game. But either way, it is going to be a great one. Count on me being there to watch!
