HTV...get a life and get a job! On something besides Coach T. Who died and made you football God for Powell? Anybody can go to Prep xtra leaderboards and total up the rushing yards per team, and the number of backs that carried the ball for each team. Of which I took the time to do. They are as follows: Morristown West 2425 yds rushing with 4 backs Lenior City 2167 yds rushing with 3 backs Maryville 2090 yds rushing with 4 backs West 1963 yds rushing with 4 backs Central 1878 yds rushing with 5 backs Halls 1700 yds rushing with 6 backs Powell 2200 yds rushing with 5 backs Powell beat Halls by a total of 4 points and West by total of 2. Now this is with a professional football player helping coach, with the biggest line in East Tennessee. But the stats looks like they didn't do the best with what they had! Is it the coaching? Or is it the Players? None of the other coaches played professional football like Smith. And by the way, Is all these stars at Powell that has all the offers on the table, cleared through the clearing house, have the grades, act score (by the way...has to be 21 to attend UT) OR is this some more talk from hump hammers? Go ahead HTV....it's your turn...

Well, if you don't mind me asking.........did Powell have the same stupid reffs that they had reffing the Halls and Powell game??????Sounds like it might have been. Stopped on the 1 in line? Get real! Anybody want to party and ride horses to Smiths house tonight?

Halls - 24-----Smokey Bears - 14 Halls was a power house team last night! They were enough power house to beat a 5-A team. Congrads to the Halls staff and the players. Not much in the paper about the game, what players stepped up to help Halls to the victory?

Well, let me put my two cents worth in! Don't want to get in trouble or nothing so I will just say good things. I think that Halls looked real good against Carter. The QB for Halls looked real good when he started the 1st quarter with that fake and run it in for a TD. That beats what the other QB did. And Lucas is an asset to the team. I am glad he decided to play. And Fergerson, Where has this kid been? It is hard to believe that Halls has had talent like Fergerson and not been using him on offense no more than they have. I don't think it was against no freshmen or second team when he caught that pass and scored. And I don't think it was the second team when Fergerson run the punt return for a TD. Bottom line, no one could catch him! And the last score for Halls WAS a sophmore for Halls. Not to mention that Halls had Two key players out. Black didn't play at all and Eatherton was out the last Quarter. Fullback Reese is a monster player. I think he recovered two fumbles. I guess we will just have to wait and see...but looks like to me that the Halls boys are doing real good so far this year. I wish you all the best. Good post Bobbie no show!

Halls Varsity-14......Dobbins Bennett-0 Hall J V -7..........Dobbins Bennett-0 Halls went with around 55 kids and Dobbins Bennett tripled that or more. Halls freshman stayed home. Well over 40 in this group. Halls defense dominated the game. Offense done better than recent years. Seems like the new offensive scheme is going to work, room for some improvement. Fergerson caused a fumble on a completed pass ,whice he returned to the 2 yard line and then Cox took the ball in for the first score. Extra point OConner. Several good carries by Reese, Ferguson, Cox , Reed and Rhinhert. Pass interception by Large led to another Halls TD. Black also had a interception. Ferguson wrestled the ball from a reciever to save a td for Dobbins Bennett. All in all Halls look like they are ready for the season, but inporvement never hurts. Only problem, Cox needs to learn to let the coaches do the coaching . Looks like Julian has done a great job in making this team a team!

Here you are crying again over who you think is the more talented players!!!The only one not playing this year is Lockwood...He has no talent in football...so bye bye Now a list of talented players..still there! Justin Cox the fullback and tight end 4 year starter! Dusty Fergerson 2 year starter, cornerback and running back, kick off and punt return, recently ran 4.41 in the 40. John Vandergriff a 4 year starter, offensive and desensive line. Justin Reese started sophmore year, didn't play last year but is back this year. Full back and linebacker. recently ran the 40 in 4.53., Ethan Cleveland a 2 year started , offensive and desensive line. Darren Black a 2 year starter, strong safety and quarter back. Trey Lucas, 3 year starter Quarter back. Hunter Large 2 year starter, linebacker. Cody Phibbs 2 year starter at safety , Waylon Etherton started sophmore didn't play last year but he is back this year at tight end and linebacker. Logan O'Conner Kick and Punt a 2 year starter. Derrik Rhinheart is returning after injery last year at conner. And the list could go on and on and this could make up for all the players that you say aren't playing, all though ther is only one that is not. The kicking game will not be the only bright spot for the offense like you had said on another post! If you are for Halls then get behind them and quit worring about who has quit or transferred and support who you have got, which should be better than recent years. P.S. you should go to the Dobbins Bennett schrimage and support Halls, instead of going to the Murville and Oak Ridge schrimage to watch the Bernett kid. He don't go to Halls.

Lee Smith picked as pre- season, athlete of the year in the KFL going, by the high school kick off book . Also listed as top offensive lineman of the year of the KFL, and also top defensive lineman. Can anyone Please tell me What has the boy done? Other than verbaley committ to UT? Would this have anything to do with his dad? He needs to be concentrating on football other than setting off smoke bombs at Target.....did anything become of this? I thought an athlete had to have speed and quickness...If Powell has an athlete it would be Watts....Halls will give Powell all they want on the field.

Yes Vandergriff is another returning player that should be an anchor on the offensive and defensive line. Should also be at the very top in wrestling again this year. If not THE TOP.

That's right....on defense! He should of been on the PA system a whole lot more on offense! Mynatt and Ferguerson were both awsome on defense and kickoff returns. The two fastest on the team and should of been playing alot more than they did on offense. Mynatt was listed as wide reciever and qb in 2004 Halls book. He and Ferguerson had to make the plays happen themselves on defense and returns. Jake had two interceptions and some good returns, some for td and Ferguerson had the 90 yard return against Murville and the interception return for 95 or more yards for a td against West. My only question is why was these two not on offense playing more the whole season, instead of the whole year? My comment about the PA system was not against Mynatt, his name should of been called out more than it was. It was against Lockwood for his 2 and 3 yards per carry every play. I can cut the mustard, but I need some bread to put it on. I think the debils will be better this year than the last few years.

to Bobby no show....was at every Halls game last year! the game that Mynatt started in the place of lockwood, Lockwood was being punished and Mynatt started his position...well, that punishment only lasted about 1/2 of a quarter...Halls run I formation or single back till halftime of west game, switched to wing T for rest of season.Glidner was blocking for Lockwood when Halls ws running single back. As far as passing, the first of season Halls had no one who could throw the ball! The stats will tell you that. Gildner is another good player that got tired of the Lockwood BS as Halls. Why else would he be at Fulton? Face the fact and take a poll, the team is much better off with out Lockwood trying to play football. And as far as hhsgirl saying that Trey is a major prospect and looking at UT, he at best may be a prospect, but somewhere like Cleveland or Austin P. And oh yes, to answer the other question, Polsten is the baseball coach at Halls and WAS the offensive coach until he or somebody decided that football did not need him. So lets quit talking Lookwood, Lucas and Polsten and get on with what Halls has , which is a team with heart and alot of players that have returned that had quit and came back and a fresh new coach. Go debils.

Well, # 1 this is a football post....not about baseball! And what was he doing ???? Getting the ball handed to him time after time after time after time....like he was the only one out there. For example, of what I am talking about...look what happened after Shepherd finally realized that Lockwood couldn't get the job done, and put in more (Mynatt, Ferguson,Black and Cox) runningbacks, that he had the whold time but was so into Lockwood that he couldn't use any of the other boys. Halls beat West and Carter. If changes hadn't of been made Halls would of never beat those two teams. All other teams keyed on Lockwood, not because of talent, but because they knew that he was all that Shepherd allowed to run. No jealousley here involved, facts are facts. I agree with you Lockwood is good in baseball but average in football. Why are you putting such negative thoughts about football in the players heads, if you are from Halls , you should be talking about how the team will step up and win games, instead of will be hurting if these two don't play. facts are facts....It can't get much worse than last year. Wouldn't have went to the play offs if they hadn't of made those changes in the last two games. Maybe since Lockwood is so good in baseball, that is the reason Polsten wanted to build him up in football....Oh by the way, thank goodness Polsten has been replaced by coach ward! Somebody that actually played football.

Well, so much for coach Julian! at least maybe he won't look at it like he only has two players on the team. And those two players never stepped foot on the field on defense in the last two years. Lockwood WILL be better off sticking to baseball, cause he only hurts the team when he gets the ball and falls to the ground cause he is afraid of getting hurt. As far as Trey, Black has more than proved that he can lead the team. With boys playing as a team, and a coach that coaches a team instead of one or two players, Ole Halls might surprise you this year. With players returning like Reese, Ferguson, Cox, Reed, Black, Phibbs and some returning that I don't know, think this is more than enough to make up for one or two players. Who cares if they play or not....let's get on as a team! Maybe that PA system can call out more than Lockwoodthis year. I think everybody got sick and tired of hearing that BS.
