  1. funny that Ryan's number 3 is getting bashed for being unsportsmanlike.... seems to me that Franklin had 5 yellows that resulted in two reds... one of those for striking a Ryan player...
  2. ...The R.O.B. of blackman...
  3. back to the game... The game was very close, and very even. Father Ryan clearly outplayed Hendersonville in the first half and got outplayed in parts of the second half. It was an even game though. Other than the goal, Hendersonville didn't have any quality shots. The majority of them were from incredible distance or they just weren't any good. The shots on goal count was very similar. Father Ryan did score 2 goals that were both called back. I am not saying these should have been goals, but it proves that Father Ryan was attacking. The refs didn't make any game changing calls. In the second half, the reffing seemed biased against Father Ryan. It seemed all calls were going against them. Both teams played a good game and Bolt made a great run. It wasn't a dirty game, just physical. Good soccer all the way around.
  4. How games were played doesn't matter that much. The result is all that counts. Last year Father Ryan got all the results they needed to be the best team in the state and one of the top in the nation. Nobody on the Irish team knows the identity of R.O.B. Anybody who reads his posts should get a good laugh and not be offended.
  5. Varsity vs. JV..? or did Hendersonville choke that bad? or is MBA that good?
  6. ydet makes a little bit on sence this time. As far as the middle region, Ryan and BGA are above the rest. It is uncertain how they will finish. Either way, they are both going to state.
  7. just an easier trip for nd and mcallie...........
  8. Zach Melo is on heck of a player. It will be tough, but he just might lead overton to a Championship.
  9. not the ugliest.......... but not far from
  10. Brentwood will be really good this year. If they stay healthy and are playing together, they have a good shot at a repeat state title.
  11. The two schools are always good. CBHS is supposed to be in the running (for the chip) again. They didn't loose that many players who couldn't be replaced by uprising players. and this forum is the "hot topic" --exciting
  12. I wasn't launching a full attack on Ravenwood’s keeper. I was simply responding to the post. It may have been misconstrued. I didn't mean to bash his skills. They are decent. He put a lot of work into sighing with a DI college, and I am happy for him. But as discussed in other boards, DI isn't necessarily better than any other level of collegiate soccer. I have seen him play in numerous games. He is very inconsistent. He is capable of making the big save, but he tends to get let some easy ones in. He has a tendency to be chipped as well. Congratulations to you Tyler Kahn, on getting your scholarship. I'm happy for you. I also never mentioned having him as a teammate. I bet he is a great teammate.
  13. Soysause, you are not popefan.
  14. JPII Still can't compete with Ryan in many athletic regards.
  15. Do you play football? Receiver perhaps? Maybe tight end with those dependable hands.
  16. Ravenwood will be terrible. Just ask their keeper. He told me that he might not even play because the tremendous loss of talent will destroy the team chemistry. They have a midfielder who hacks, a semi solid keeper, at best, and a shaky back line. These mixed with a complete lack of an attack could spell trouble for the Raptors.
  17. ydet, I commend you excellent insight and posting abilities. You average post per day is a .5 per day. That's impressive. Especially when the boards are closed over half the year!
  18. hahaha.. Burned by a teammate I'm fairly certain he wants to play in college. His professional aspirations can wait. He might be there someday, but for now, he'll sign with a fairly competitive college.
  19. At the Div I schools there is a much broader talent range to pick from. The private schools only have the players who choose to pay and attend that school. Div. I has more people at tryouts. Needless to say, the top teams in every region are very competitive. It would have been interesting to have a playoff between the state champions and finalists in each division. Last year, Father Ryan beat all the Div. II teams along with Brentwood and Hendersonville. Each year, the talent is different. It's hard to tell which division has the most talented players.
  20. I don't think the argument about the game itself is the problem. The debate seems to gotten "a little heated" when lies were being thrown around. ydet, I'll be sure to check your post on the conditioning board right away!
  21. "ALOT of fun, u grow better and stroger ALOT" .... (two words) ....
