  1. This Riverdale teams seems to play according to the potential of the opponent. The Warriors against Smyrna haven't been seen in the last few games. I hope they get in gear and bring their A game with Coach A. You will see them at Blue Cross Bowl if they can stay focused.
  2. As a warrior fan, I thought it was great. There wasn't much hype about this game and it helped to step it up a bit.
  3. Dunn happens to be the first cousin of Riverdale #64 Michael Pope. He is visiting MTSU tomorrow. Has visited Vandy several times, Louisville, Auburn, Kentucky and TTU. He has a younger brother Casey who was #11 for WC.
  4. Parking is difficult and you will have a walk if you aren't there by 6:00.
  5. Riverdale gets a blow out. Let's hope Coach A doesn't get greedy and leave the starters in so long. They need to stay healthy for the long run.
  6. Both teams looked sloppy. The refs just seemed to want to get it over and go home and showed about as much enthuasium and intensity as the Riverdale offense. The Warriors better step it up or they won't have that coveted home field advantage for very long. They will be at home.
  7. Something to think about. Warren County Schools rank 105 in teacher pay out of 136 school systems in the state of Tennessee. Coaches are teachers first, and who wants to work for peanuts? In a system the size of WC why are they relying on volunteers to lead the team? Poor coaching hires by people in charge who weren't all that successful themselves as coaches. When you are consumed with keeping things political you ruin the program. WC has a hugh fan base and people who are willing to step up in the community with whatever is needed despite the lack of W's, but the politics in WC schools are killing its program plain and simple.
  8. Props to McCallie. The stadium was great. Your fans were super. Riverdale looked much improved this week to me. They just didn't play the last five minutes of the game. It seemed to me the D quit about five minutes beore the game ended. Give credit to the Tornados who never quit. I wonder if the time difference had anything to do with the fans or lack there of for the Warriors.
  9. My point is that yes, a defensive player stopped the drive. But, it was also one of our defensive players who get a penalty and game them a first down. If I remember correclty, that happended more than once. We have some great defensive players, so I hope they step up this week and show it. Penalties will kill us if we don't get a handle on them.
  10. Steve Britton wanted to come there and coach last year. Ask the Riverdale players about his abilities. Franklin County hired the real deal. What a loss for WC.
  11. Good question. b/c if you were at the same game I attended last week you must have been seeing things. Parks ran all over our Defense right up the middle. How many yards did they give up in penalities alone? Give me a break.
  12. No Gaston, but we got Locke. No Tamar, but we got Hunter. No Dave, but we got Scott. We got Goree, We got Verge, We got Grove, We got Spurlock, We got Newsome, We got Atakpu, We got, . . . . shall I go on!. The Stars lights go out tomorrow night.
  13. Gaston took hit after hit and had the body strength to do it. McClain doesn't seem to be a strong physically, but the kid can flat out fly.
  14. Reports are that their is not break or fracture. He was xrayed and they found he has a bone that grew in incorrectly. He took a hit on it and caused some soreness. He is in a boot to protect the bone. He is most likely to suit up Friday night. Paul is an excellent athlete, if he can keep his head straight. He loves to run the ball which might get him into trouble if he doesn't stick to the game plan.
