  1. Rockwood is playing well. Be prepared to play in one of the loudest gymansium around. The students section has been great! Cosby will be a good team.
  2. We will find out just how good he is when the helmets get strapped on in August. I guarantee that every team in region 2 -AA will have something to say about him being "the best".
  3. Self-rightous? The truth is what it is. That is the problem with our society. No one takes responsibility. So here some of us are, giving him an excuse. That's why it happened a second time. Players feel its ok, and it's not my fault for my actions. A referee doesn't just toss someone because they are going to FSU, Miss State, Tennessee, or where ever. It is called accountability. No matter who you are, you are always accountable for your actions. Quit making excuses, teach character, and help these boys becaome responsible, respectable young men. That way, when they do make it big, we aren't reading about DUI's, or Shootings, or Drugs, or Hit and Run.
  4. There must be a lot of questions running through Alcoa's mind. Alcoa is still good, but just how good are they now? Also, discipline problems spell trouble. When all is good, it is easy to overlook things. As far as Tyner having the tougher region, you must be joking. Region 2-2a is the most competitive region, and has been for quite some time in East Tennessee. But to Tyner's credit, they are hitting on all cylinders, and don't have any question who will play where, and how many games someone will be sitting out for discipline problems. I think Tyner is catching Alcoa at the right time. They will have to pounce on them early.
  5. It would suprise me if he didn't play. It is funny that things can be overlooked for star players, but anyone else and there would be no questions. Looks like there is trouble in tornadoville.
  6. Region2a has been dominated over the past 4 years by Region 2aa. Last year was the first time any Region2a team made it past the first round. The odds are stacked against 2a against. Let's face it, no one will beat Alcoa. Loudon is tough, Cak is tough, and the 4th place team in Region 2aa will be awful tough too. Either Rockwood or Oliver Springs who beat Gat-Pitt earlier in the season will be in that spot.
  7. Don't count Rockwood out yet! Ask CAK about Rockwood. As for 50 points being scored on the Tigers. Only Alcoa has done that.
  8. Sounds pretty bad... have injuries been a problem, or is it that coaches have shuffled guys around... or is it just attitudes of people.
  9. Pigeon Forge homecoming...I wonder how well they will do?
  10. Ok...the results are in! Rockwood beat Rhea Co. 6-2! They had an amazing game last night. Rhea Co. had alot of speed, but Rockwood had more determination!! The offense was rockin last night! Jennifer Hill had a goal Lacey Smith had a couple and Kirsten Raby had 3. Megan Turner and Katie Riggs was clearing it out of there on defense. Sierra Skidmore didnt get much action back in the goal except for her cramp. Jennifer Hill injured her knee in the last three minutes of the game and now she is out for the Alcoa game on Monday. She should be back to start on Tuesday, but not play. Rockwood is pumped up for these last two district games. Tuesday night is senior night and the seniors are definately gonna go out there and play their hearts out (Jennifer for the 2 seconds she will be in). Karly Martin and Sierra Skidmore will give it their all for 80 minutes! It is going to be a good game and I urge everyone to go to both of those games next week! Go Lady Tigers!!
  11. The Rockwood Girls have really improved this year. This is their 4th year of having a soccer team and they have proved their determination finally this year. I feel as if the better team lost last night against Harriman. Jennifer Hill had 9 shots alone. Kirsten Raby, Lacey Smith, and Carrissa Huskins wasn't very far behind her. Rockwood played harder, handled the ball better, took atleast 4 times as many shots as Harriman, and just out hustled them. The shots were just not going in as they had hoped. Not to take away from Harriman's goalie, because she is talented back there, but she fumbled the ball most of the time before she got complete control of it. Rockwood did a great job of following up their shots most of the time, but those few times that their forwards would "take a play off" so to speak, they could have had a few more goals which would have won the game. I believe that Coach Thompson should not be dissappointed with that loss at all. Because like I said... the better team lost. GO LADY TIGERS!! Good Luck Girls with your game against Rhea Co. Thursday night!! GO #2, #6, AND #16!!
  12. Whatever happened to Coach Tyus? Wasn't he from sweetwater?
  13. Rockwood is hosting Harriman tonight and I believe that they will take it at their place. They are coming off a 4-0 win against Carter and they are fired up. They beat Harriman at their place in the district match-up and they certainly will not be embarrassed at their place. All of their games have been away games these past 3 weeks and they can't wait to come back home!! I have a feeling that Jennifer Hill, who had 4 oppurtunities to score last night, will not dissappoint tonight. And Sierra Skidmore has shown great growth in the goal!! GO LADY TIGERS!!!!!
  14. Billyblo, You are real tough...Man I would mess with you. You ought to be on Ultimate fighting Championships. But if you don't watch out you'll sprain a finger punching them keys. You are a real champion. Way to go. What should anyone expect from Bledsoe county. Home of the typing champion! Where is the Rocky music.....come on monkey!
  15. BillyBlo has no part in anything to do with Rockwood or Harriman. He is some ignorant-no teeth loser from Bledsoe Co. The only cheerleader BillyJob has seen his his sister/girlfriend. He likes to keep it in the family
