After reading this thread i can't believe the under estimation there is for Polk. I'm a recently converted Polk County man. After watching this team all season, this team is not to be taken lightly. The defense is solid i believe they do lead mcminn in fewest points and total yards allowed. Polk beat east ridge were yall sqeaked by them. I'm not saying were that much better i'm just saying that were not to be taken lightly. Offensively we've been better each week, its been fun to watch Allen, Lee grow that much better each week. Should be a great game im goin Polk 21 McMinn 17 Go Polk!

Let me correct one of your statements. The Polk player was not hit below the shoulder. The Polk player that was INTENTIONALLY hit, bruised his hand very badly because he had to put his hand up to keep the ball from hitting his face. His friends from Boyd told him they did hit him on purpose, they did not know why. The friends all teased each other and said see ya at the next game. How good it is to see good young men display class. Hats of to these boys. I would hope that no team would ever aim for someones face or head. I would like to think the ball just went to high toward the Polk player has it did unintentionally at the Boyd player. The Polk pitcher is a great young man and I don't think he would aim for someones head. Players get hit in the batter box, intentionally and unintentionally. Both of these teams have a lot of talent. I hope both of these teams continue to play hard and good luck in the tournament.

Soddy is no afterthought what so ever but come on ooltewah struggle to meet 500 your talking about a program that reloads every year its a baseball school there is a lot of talent returning for the owls including Remo Tinti, Zach Smith, Dan Geren, Ryne Shumaker, Zach Zarzour the owls will be right in the hunt for the district. Have to agree Tyler Massey is unbelieveable, but not to be honest their hasn't been a player like Kyler come though this area in a long time head to toe KB was amazing i mean the guy dropped twenty bombs i dont believe tyler is Kyler material

Listen i haven't missed an ooltewah football game in the past six years and yes i went to ohs but my info is not "clouded" im not even talking about the rigeland incident anyway but if you honestly think they the ohs administration cracks down on the football team your very mistaken hear say is not how i form my opinions either i've seen it with my own eyes i hope they win games but your not helpin these guys with getting away with everything thats just what im sayin

i support the few good guys out there but as far as the school i do not support an administration that covers up incidences just because they suit up friday night i'd rather lose ball games and have integrity than win with borderline criminals

with everything that is surrounding this football team its hard to be excited this year by the looks of things this team is going to downhill in the big region games

I know it was a complete game but in tournment play i just think its wrong.....im not just saying this because it happened to ooltewah in the future for all teams it seems wrong to take a chance of winning a game away its not like this was a regular joe blow game these district/region tournments leave you season hanging in the balance and im not sure what the true definition of a suspented game is??

Its district tourney time and i've just kinda ticked about a called game. Ooltewah vs Soddy Daisy on friday was a downpour we were under an hour rain delay and only completed 2 innings we resumed play but during the bottom of the 7th it starts a complete drenching the game was called when Ooltewah had 2 men on and the tieing run at the plate with no outs. The game was called off and Soddy got the win. I don't understand how they can call a game in this situation i mean its not a regular season game this is a teams future in the balance. I'm not saying that Ooltewah would have won but you need to give them a chance. TSSAA rules state that in tournment play that a suspended game will resume at the point of suspention but they refered back to the 6th inning when Soddy had the lead. How is this fair????

this deal is over and i dont believe this particular player wanted to leave ooltewah his attitude has been great so far and continues to be never heard a negitive comment from him. his decision has been to stay and is welcomed back he is a great player and will be a success at ooltewah, reguarding the fresman who is know on varsity massey's decision to make this move was a huge success after mental errors on the field he sparked a fire at the nest now everyone is beginning to play like they have been expected plus ive seen this kid play since he was ten and i can assure you he deserves to be on varsity and will see playing time in certain pitching rotations, yes, parents involved in ooltewah athletics will continue to be the downfall get off coaches backs go to the game and keep your mouth shut if you want to be a coach there are plenty of classes at utc untill you go through what they down just smile and go about your way these coaches put in a lot of time and dedication to your kid trying to make them a success on and off the field so take that into consideration before you run off at the mouth now im off my soap box

i think this is a very interesting match up. congrats to the govs for taking care of DB who would have thunk it. but having watched both these teams im going to have to go with farragut just because there offence is so dangerous they did things that no other team has done against ooltewah. not to say ooltewah is the one to compare to but after watching the owls all season farragut brought the house and you wouldnt expect anything else from farragut so im gonna pick the admirals this week FHS 24- WB 17. it just goes to show you how great region 2-5a is that were playin each other for the second time this year hope fully another 2-5a game will happen next week

Owls win this one...but you have to give props to bradley for what theyve done this year beating soddy....lets not talk about state titles or ap polls its way too early for that were just midway through the season we all remember what happpened 2 years ago when we were 8-0

yeah i just can seem to forget about last year when i was cussed at by WB fans and had coke bottles thrown at my car....dont even talk to me about class

Ooltewah takes this one 21-10....i hope that WB is shown the same respect we were shown last year WB are some of the lowest fans/players/coaches we face all year..this year we wont have to fight the zebras like last year
