  1. I was told that Livesay was sick a few games ago and Ricky headed it up. Don't know why it stayed that way. May be Livesay analyzes/stratigizes and Ricky communicates....just a guess.
  2. watched the tape! Ref T'ed him from across court. not whinning, stating! giving West their due! Have been for a while! Didnt think we would have been in the game as long as we were!Proud of our effort! THAT SAID ....you might be able to better understand my mood in person..got it?.. Dick.
  3. well he might have at one time or he may some time later but we are talking about this instance in particular again reference video. Just curious how peoples minds work. Sorry that it wasnt a big enough routing for some of you to admit the obvious infractions and that East fought a good game and refused to concede. To change the subject I still think West will dominate once they get there bearings. upcoming tournament should tell a big tale. By the way I was saying this back in the summer.
  4. well thank goodness for 2 cents........wont buy much! Livesay was waving orrick to get out and stop the ball earlier instead of reacting late...and east cut the lead to 10 in 3rd quarter(37-27) quite a bit past the tip....wanna see the tape? what you've heard and what you've been told... ha ha try watching and making your own assessments.
  5. West led at half by 17. East cut lead back to 10 in 3rd and game was as close as 12, 1/3 way through 4th. West was as strong as I had imagined and actually didnt go to there bench as deep or for as many minutes as I would have thought. East handled there press pretty well and kept their offense a little confused with the match-up D. Sydney and Taylor were the difference in transition. East struggled getting back even on a few made buckets. A technical foul from Smiley of the moron three stooges that was just showman ship and Orrick fouling out was a big turn around in what was still a game. Blaylock had a surge late that was helping keep it respectable before this. They pretty much face guarded Hale after she had hit back to back 3's in the 1st quarter to put east ahead after trailing 11-6. final was a 23 point difference
  6. This will fly if: No one gets hurt, sick or in foul trouble. If you havent tested your depth early then these symptoms can devistate you at the crucial times late in the season. Then of course there are those that are envious of being able to go to there bench let alone go 7 or 8 deep. Also where does toughnut get that they arent that deep......is that like saying aah i aint really hungry before you devour the buffet? /hungry.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":hungry:" border="0" alt="hungry.gif" />
  7. oh you wont get me riled, truth is the truth......west is loaded!!!!!!!!!! East is playing much better but depth is the achiles(spelling) heel. first half will be closer than folks project.....i hope
  8. Rob you need to come to CCHS tonight and Cheer for East...........
  9. grudge???Way off base with this bunch of hoopla....rob always to this day praises the girl in questions and her abilities... he just gave his opinion on this game and match-up.
  10. not dissing CCHS or GHS but I think they will be playing for 2nd......for my wants...I wish it were East !!! CCHS has a great supporting cast with Buda , Depew, Lewis, Pruitt and Allie.....GHS has some up and coming that will help......BUT depth depth depth goes to West not to mention the play makers and game changers.... I believe the IMAC this year and next has the market cornered on talent.... how can you pick a limited number for all conference from the group at hand?
  11. Morristown West ......and the rest of us /blink.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="blink.gif" />
  12. Ok before any comments...I'm biased but Samantha Hale S/G pure shooter 26-28 ft range and solid defender no flash just effective Kayla Orrick P Strongest kid I have ever come into contact with soft 12-15 foot shot Megan Fanney P/G can you say Shannon Bobbit
  13. South Greene beat M East 54-40 but the game was much closer than the score....foul trouble and turn overs and a general lack of rebounding hurt East led at half 25-24 I generally stay away from the ref issue but let me start by saying the Lady ref is a class act...the other two (guys) were just acts.....fouls called for good defense which leads to my comment..we were shooting ourself in the foot enough..do we really want to deter our players from playing aggressive defense and just have a shoot-out highlight reel like the pros....wont cut it at college....my daughter is a sniper of a shooter and plays hard defense...what advice do you give as a parent and coach? hey you are a scorer dont get in foul trouble....i dont think so...i still believe in tough defense
  14. had they stopped dribble before first hop?
  15. very well said!!!!! Now my picks 1.Morristown West; they are loaded but Hall is a game changer 2/3. Greeneville/Cocke Co.; I straddle the fence: GHS because they have track record and Dixon but Cocke county has Depew,Buda,Pruitt,Sprouse and Lewis plus a fired up new coach so I lean a little towards CCHS at second 4.Morristown East; Because I love the underdog(and my daughter plays there) Leeper, Hale, Orrick and Blaylock are a handfull offensively and defensively. 5. Jefferson could easily be a spoiler at 3 or 4 with the talent they have.; Nelson is a playmaker and she has a good supporting cast with hard workers like Mcwilliams and Kyle 6. Cherokee will have some upsets I think but youth will undermind consistency. Player of the year; I'll go out on a limb a say Taylor Hall(more diverse D1 player) Freshman; I'll agree with Chandler and what a great kid Coach; Livesay (cause hopefully East can surprise even me and win the conference) /popcorneater.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":popcorneater:" border="0" alt="popcorneater.gif" /> ha ha almost sounded like I knew what I was talking about /thumb[1].gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":thumb:" border="0" alt="thumb[1].gif" />
  16. I gotcha its just times are different now than say 20-25 years ago
  17. Just an observation and not sure how it does or doesnt apply to this situation BUT! No.1 if they got their little hineys busted more at home rather than cell phone upgrade promises and the like, discipline would be less of an issue....knock on wood, I have two daughters whom I love dearly and as of yet neither have been a problem to their coaches or teachers...(took care of it early on at home) No.2 parents tend to believe in a broad spectrum on discipline. Its really simple is the coach intense or mean? If it is intense then she honestly cares and that should be fine....if she's (or he or whatever) mean then I believe that no one would have stood for it this long, winning or not... I'm not going to get on a soapbox but I realize now later in life that I respect my dad and the teachers/coaches that I had, that took the time and cared enough to rattle my cage when I was falling short of the mark. ok I'll tiptoe out now /popcorneater.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":popcorneater:" border="0" alt="popcorneater.gif" />
  18. /popcorneater.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":popcorneater:" border="0" alt="popcorneater.gif" /> /rolleyes.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="rolleyes.gif" /> smooch
