  1. bearden is good. better than siegel, oak ridge, and brentwood. Offensively, not too many teams are better than bearden this season.
  2. too many easy games on their schedule to be the favorite, in my opinion. scoring double figure goals in games isn't a good thing for your team.
  3. No challenging games until October? Nice scheduling. I guess the goals against and goals scored statistics will really look impressive by season's end!
  4. I think mjuhb said this, but Collierville's schedule at KH was pretty weak. Not that all of the teams they played were weak, but not exactly a tough weekend for them. By the time you get to the 4th game, sometimes the teams are running on fumes (Greeneville). It helped that Collierville had some breathers in games #2 and #3.
  5. Most coaches don't want to go to a tournament and play someone already on their schedule, especially one in the district or a "rival" game. The tournament organizers have always tried to keep that from happening. The coaches know this before they get there.
  6. siegelplayer4 is a girls soccer player. blame her siegel fans. want to guess what number she is?
  7. Thanks for the update, Mr. Manning.
  8. They will put 11 players on the field. One of them will wear gloves and a different color jersey. Did you really ask. . . "what should we know about siegel?" Please stay off of here with that stuff.
  9. Sorry to say I told you so (I said this last November), but Collierville wasn't one of the top 5 teams in AAA last season, despite the title. They graduated their key player. Good team, not near the best.
  10. Checked it out... The 4 teams have a combined record of 1-10. Be careful boasting about accomplishments over weak teams on this site. It can make that player look silly. "compete with any other player on the list"?
  11. Ahh, the first "NOT" I've seen in a while. Reminds me of when I was about 12 years old. Looking back at your posts, my questions is, "Is your last name Dakis?"
  12. they don't need permission from tssaa to play for the national team, they just need to inform them. And there ARE conflicts in the states without limits on what the players can play
  13. Grace? Yeah, Grace soccer is to be taken seriously! That's ridiculous.
  14. THESE ARE SCRIMMAGES !!!!!!!!!! Way too much is placed on these games on here by some of you.
  15. It's not a good thing when people are suggesting line-up changes on COACHT before the season even starts.
  16. The previous post is filled with so much garbage, I'm embarrassed to even reply.
  17. I think she wanted more than "it's because they are before Aug. 21st." She knows that. Everyone on here knows that games before a certain date don't count on the overall record. I was just explaining why I don't think scrimmages should count when figuring strength of schedule. That was what her question pertained to. If you read all of the posts, you can see that I DID answer her question. She doesn't have to agree with it, but I did answer it.
  18. Scrimmages always seem to be a bigger deal here in Middle Tennessee than the rest of the state. Compare the # of scrimmages played by teams each year, and you will see. West Tennessee teams don't seem to scrimmage much at all. Some East Tennessee teams have scrimmages, some don't. Many teams don't even post their scrimmages on their schedules. I've never understood why teams post the score of scrimmages. Some scrimmages don't even utilize officials. With RARE exceptions, here is what goes on during scrimmages. . . --the intensity level isn't nearly the same --there is more experimentation by coaches (styles, strategies, playing rotation, etc.) Plus, fitness levels aren't where they will be later. With the heat this time of year, especially if these games are played before 7:00 p.m. (although it would be tough to play even at midnight right now), players will not play at 100% efficiency for long. Many teams/coaches aren't sure what their strengths/weaknesses are that early in the season. Scrimmages are a good way to start to figure it out. I'm not sure why some teams schedule 6 or 7 scrimmages. When is there time to work on things in practice with that many scrimmages? It doesn't make sense to NOT play a lot of players in a scrimmage. At least one, probably both, of the teams will look nothing like they did in scrimmages once the regular season starts. When playing a good school in a scrimmage, you won't get their best. At least not for 80 minutes. Every time the result of a scrimmage is discussed on here, at least one side ALWAYS points out, "we played our jv the second half." I think it's good that teams try to schedule a few tough teams to scrimmage. Better than scrimmaging a few weak teams, I guess. However, chances are, these "good" teams will not play at full-strength for long in these games.
  19. Seegle has been mis-spelled all the time on here. Even though you have never corrected MY spelling on Seegel before, I think I spell Seagul differently each time. If you want to point out spelling, then go ahead and check your posts out (tho, their vs. there, etc) plus add punctuation to the list. As Ron White says: "You can't fix stupid"
  20. Your words, look it up. . . "with just those two tournaments alone and then CCS, Jackson Prep, and Centennial" I simply pointed out that Siegel doesn't play Jackson Prep since they weren't on the revised schedule. That is what "revised" means. How about this for a motto. . . "Proof-read more, post more intelligently" You lose again. . . NEXT!
  21. As you probably know, I am a big critic of easy schedules. What schools play the most games vs. teams on your lists? (Scrimmages DON'T count!)
  22. No kid... You stated in your previous post (8:03 on July 19) that Siegel WAS playing Jackson Prep. I simply said that since Jackson Prep wasn't on the revised schedule, then Siegle isn't playing them. You said Siegle WAS, I said Siegle WASN'T. No echo there. Just correcting you. Siegleplayer4, I assume you were laughing at Cutters Crazies ignorance.
  23. Jackson Prep isn't on the revised schedule for Siegel. That means they aren't playing them.
  24. There is always way too much attention placed on preseason scrimmages on here. Just looked at Siegel's complete schedule. Besides the two tournaments, which are tough (especially the Collieville/Houston tournament), it isn't too tough besides the Centennial game. Yes, they get credit for getting tougher in the preseason (Ravenwood, BGA, Father Ryan, PJPII, Hendersonville), but the regular season gives them some breaks.
  25. No, loser, I didn't misquote myself. You don't make sense. I have been the biggest critic of the schedule over the years. Go back to your English tutor. I would like for Brentwood to beef up the schedule, but it needs to be legal. I win.
