  1. Tiger defense is playing at an elite level currently. Another ridiculously good performance by the defense tonight. Offense is really starting to come along too.
  2. 14-0 MC at half. Refs just blew call on last play of the game. Osteen was trying to call a timeout with 3 seconds left, but refs said he didn't get it called in time. Marshall County has stopped a few Maplewood drives deep in Marshall County territory. Maplewood has also stopped a few Marshall County drives that looked destined to score. I have been very impressed with Maplewood's overall speed. They hit that corner and wow.
  3. That region with Pearl, Marshall County, Maplewood, and Nolensville is going to be brutal if that ends up being how it works out.
  4. I think it would also be pretty fun to see a few years of OC vs. Osteen. The rivalry seems to be a lot like Tennessee-Alabama. Minus a few years, it seems neither team is really good at the same time. Marshall County dominated the McCurry years, and Giles dominated the OC years. With Osteen and OC coaching, I feel it could be a pretty good back and forth.
  5. Really hope Giles plays in 4A. Marshall County would possibly be losing two of its bigger rivalries if Giles goes 3A. I would hate to see Marshall County-Giles County being dependent on schedules working out and the two staffs wanting to play each other.
  6. Should be a tough game. I would assume Maplewood can matchup with Marshall County similar to how Stratford did. This will be a great test to see if the Marshall County line improves upon its great performance last week.
  7. Kameron Liggett from Marshall County is as good as any in my opinion. He's been splitting carries 3 ways all year so the numbers won't be gaudy, but he has top end speed and loves contact.
  8. I'm not sure what you're getting at by emphasizing team. I would say we'll find out who the best team in the region is on October 28th. I'm sure Page is going to come out fired up for it, and I have no doubt that Marshall County will be ready to go as well. But Marshall County is a very complete team. They aren't one or two guys carrying all the weight. It seems to be someone new every week.
  9. 14-6 at the half. Refs have had a lot of interesting calls against Marshall County. Spring Hill has done a great job tackling in the open field and has played a good ball control game.
  10. Weak is an understatement on that call. Tigers just score a TD to go up 7-6 in second quarter.
  11. I know there was an article that said they offered at a camp, but I never saw much more about their recruitment of him. I think MTSU is getting an absolute steal in him.
  12. Catholic should be the biggest favorite in any classification. They're going to be tough to beat. To win it, Catholic might have to go through Fulton, Greeneville, Marshall County, and Pearl Cohn in consecutive weeks. They did that same stretch last year, but I think at least one of those schools gives them some form of a scare. Only thing is I'm not sure what is defined as giving this Catholic team a scare. They're ridiculously good.
  13. Tre Crutcher from Marshall County is having an impressive year. Not sure he's going to have quite the stats, but he's become a phenomenal playmaker on offense for the Tigers. Cain McWilliams from Marshall County as lineman. Not sure on his stats, but he's anchoring what I would guess is one of the better defenses in 4A.
  14. 50-0 final. Lawrence County had 1 first down in the first 3 quarters and only 2 before the final drive against the second team. Haven't heard stats yet, but I'm going to guess Lawrence County barely had more than 100 yards of offense. Good to get back in the win column after last week. Took the offense a few drives to get going, but it was easy sailing after that.
  15. 28-0 at the half. Marshall County was very sluggish in the first quarter but seems to be going offensively now.
  16. Assuming Marshall County will name the score tonight. Will definitely see some frustration from last week taken out on Lawrence County tonight. I'm guessing 49-7. Wallace barely plays the second half.
  17. If they end up in 3A, can a team bump up two classes? I thought you could only play up one class and if there was a team in that class wanting to move down.
  18. Stratford won that game. But like you said, there won't be another team that can perfect that strategy on defense against Marshall County for some time in my opinion. No call was frustrating because they let it happen on 2 key plays that allowed Stratford to tie the game then keep a drive going to milk the clock, but Stratford was just the better team tonight.
  19. Wallace throws interception. Stratford wins. Great game. Stratford loaded the box and just demolished the Tigers line all night. Had enough athletes to guard the receivers longer than the line could block.
  20. Refs just let Stratford play defense with 12 men on field.
  21. Stratford fumbles out of victory formation. Marshall County has 84 yards with no timeouts left to make a drive. 1:15 left.
  22. Refs have missed Stratford breaking the huddle with 12 3 times now.
  23. Marshall County just dropped a wide open TD pass that would've tied it up. 5 minutes left.
  24. 21-21 at the half. Marshall County struggling up front on offense. Stratford has missed some passes. Should be a good second half. Stratford gets the ball first.
  25. Have had 3 straight plays with 15 yard penalties. Stratford with an unsportsmanlike, MC with a late hit, then Stratford with a facemask. This was about 3 plays after Stratford got a roughing the punter.
