I think Eurosport's present rankings are merely the final 2005 rankings. The only thing updated are the scores. Am I correct ? So I guess all the bickering about positions in the Eurosport poll can stop, right ?

Chuckey Doak lost to Pigeon Forge 3-0 the other night. This is exactly what happened last year. Science Hill flew under the radar.

Science Hill was very physical lasy year - especially their defenders. Either Science Hill lost a lot from last year or Tenn High is much improved (or, maybe a little bit of both). In any event, if Science Hill and Tenn. High played straight up, I would not have expected Tenn High to win. Of course, I'll say once again it's just a scrimmage before I get jumped. Mjuhb, why didn't Tullahoma return to the DB tourney this year? DB offers pretty decent competition for a small tourney (Oak Ridge, Farragut, G'ville, DB, etc.)

Science Hill obviously had a fantastic year last year but I thought just about everyone returned for them. Obviously, it's just a scrimmage, but how did Science Hill look?

Greeneville Varsity 3, Dobyns Bennett Varsity 0 (40 min. match) Oh yeah, Coach McCloskey kept his varsity team in for the second 40 min match which was supposed to be JV vs. JV. The DB varsity apparently came away with a "w" against the G'ville JV, however.

Alas, we have not heard from a DB poster in quite some time.

FYI - Rivals has Antwaine Wiggins listed as the No. 68 player in the country from the Class of 2007. Also, Greeneville evidently has a 6'8" Sophomore coming in next year. I've heard he is a local boy but has been home-schooled. Finally, does anyone have any info on the supposed transfer from Ky headed to Greeneville? Rumor has it that he will be a great compliment to Antwaine.

Congrats to Antwaine Wiggins and Omar Wattad from NE Tenn. What does everyone think about the selections ? Any snubs ? What are your thoughts ?

We can only go with what we have seen, of course. Wattad's a good player but Wiggins is much better, in my opinion. Wiggins didn't do too badly against Hamilton (22 pts., 6 rb, 4 assts, 3 steals, 2 blocks) - and he was picking up double teams. Frankly, Wiggins would average well over 30 pts a game if Wiggins took as many shots a game as Wattad. Also, look at the head to head match-ups this year between Wiggins and Wattad. Don't just look at how many points each player scored (Wiggins scored more FYI) but how many shots each took, etc. It also appears as though many D1 schools are interested in the "build-up" of Wiggins by us G'ville fans. We'll see where each player turns up after next year. Oh yeah, just 1 observation: G'ville played DB in the Region Championship game. I'm not really sure which game you were watching .
