  1. Fifth place is not good!!! I have seen that field at Bethel and it is a porch in right field. I played against Keck and have kept up with him on you guy's stats, he is hitting below.300 with half of his 30 something hits homeruns. Tell me that aint a porch. I was expecting Bethel to go to Idaho after reading your preseason outlook on your website, "uncharted territory, the World Series", what a joke. Fifth place in an NAIA conference is an absolute laugher. Keep up them winning ways, I just would not reccomend anyone who thinks they have a chance to go there. How many people have been drafted from your program, anyone? Didnt think so, good luck the rest of the way coach. I am entitled to my opinion, which is shared with most good players in this state.
  2. Well they may sign them but according to their website they can't teach them how to win very well!!! Just going by the facts that are on their website.
  3. Thanks for updating me I wish I was as smart as you when it comes to baseball!!
  4. Good luck I hope it works, it can help alot of these kids get signed to colleges! Get involved with John Decker at Tennessee baseball Report.
  5. Did you have to give away who the next coach at lexington is gonna be?? I feel for Coach Patterson, a lot of parents were railing him behind his back cause you know all parents know more than the coach himself. Thats why they are working at McDonald's and he has his degree, just makes sense. And then you got all the "Big Whigs" that sit up there in their suit and tie like they are somebody special. Yah right, they are pencil pushing donator's who try to buy their kids playing time! That is how this world works in the life of a coach, many administrations back a jerk that donates money over their own employee. I believe that this is the reason Patterson resigned because coaching is getting rediculous and underminded by a bunch of immature itiotic money toters! Good luck Coach Patterson, I understand why many coaches give it up! All parents aren't bad by any means but it is the few that destroy trust between coaches and parents.
  6. Well how come everybody hates them??? Only parents like you that like to kiss that butt are the ones that like' um. You have got to be kiddin me if you dont think these two don't think their "dung" doesnt stink. They are average coaches with good players beeotch!!!
  7. Looks like they had a tough obstacle against Mitchell or whoever they were! Great win, good luck at state!
  8. Sorry there Wes, BUDDY, I ain't at every game like you. The Gant kid who is a "sohpomore" is alot better than the other kid. Those two coaches are very egotistical cause they think they are the smartest baseball people in the state. Far from it!!! They act like they are to good for some people. I have heard some stories.
  9. Yah they all three will probably get drafted in the first round
  10. USJ is a talened team that should beat the Covington squad. As I have seen USJ just a couple of times, I think that the junior pitcher they have is a solid #1 who can beat ANYONE! The number two guy ,who is a senior, is pretty decent with not nearly as good of stuff as the junior. The reason they will win in my opinion is because they can field a routine ground ball unlike most teams in West TN. Either way, tonights match up has two of the most egotistical coaches going head to head. Both coaches ( Miller and Dyer) think that they are better than everyone else except for the small circle of people they surround. I am not being mean or untruthful just stating the facts.
  11. I think that a lot of parents try to live their lives through their children's situations. Since they were not stand out players, they try and push their kids to be better than they were. It becomes a problem to everyone surrounded by these types of people. It affects the kid, coach, umpire, and surrounding parents. I hear all the time that," my kid should be playing he is better than the guy playing in front of him." 95% of the time, it is false. They feel as if they are the ones sitting on the bench, not their son or daughter. It is hard to see a child of their own sitting but we must be truthful and realistic with ourselves if other people have a gift for being more talented at a certain area than we are.
  12. Ok Ok Ok! Barlett's JV had a good season but that level is not really comparible to the varsity level. Now that we are square on that. Coach Clark is a great high school coach for which many other coaches need to try and model. He has revamped a program who didnt care about baseball to a top choice contender in the rugged Memphis talent area. For that alone he has done a wonderful job. Just to point out a little about his squad, they are young but have many talented seniors that have shown the underclassman how to play the game. Good luck and see ya at state.
  13. Congratulations to Coach Mathis and his YOUNG dyersburg team. This will be a team that will be tough in the future. Coach Mathis tied the school record for wins with many (7) underclassman in the starting lineup. Just thought I would let people know what kinda job my buddy in Dyersburg has done.
  14. This kid is pretty good with a fastball around 86-87 but all you have to do is put it in play. They wear oversized BOOTS in Gibson County.
  15. They base it on if their pitcher is throwing 28MPH one day or if he is humping up that day on the radar gun at 35MPH. Sounds like the coach is a wizard.
  16. I looked at there website and it looks like jonathan white- milan chris white-milan hunter lindsey- union city derek hinson- dyer co derek copley- gibson co

First off you are a terrible umpire who needs to clean the mess out of your droooors old man. Secondly, you sound rediculous to say that a coach is not responsible for letting his pitcher throw 118 pitchesWHO IS IN HIS FIRST OUTING OF THE YEAR!!!! Quit making up excuses for the coach and saying, oh well its Jonathan's fault cause he doesn't do this and that..... the bottom line is that NO high school kid should be throwin 118 or however many it was his first time out for the season. Oh and all you braniacs who say it isn't Joyner's fault, it was 40 degrees outside to boot. I wish this kid luck in recovering and becoming healthy. I hope that he will never throw another pitch for this coach who is wanting to win his district title in one night. Boy since you coaches are so smart??? Wouldn't you think that with coaches as smart as Dave and Joyner, that you would take care of your money man on the mound???? If I were the coach I would DEFINETELY MAKE SURE MY ACE WAS TAKIN CARE OF! Congratualtions Coach Joyner, you just peeeed away your chances of winning the district. Oh and all you supporters he only let Chris White throw 147 pitches in the next game they played. No one has said anything about that either but now I have!! Now come and tell me he is looking out for these kids??

Well Dave then you are about as sorry of a coach as Joyner is! You can't have high school kids throwing over 100 pitches at the beginning of the season, that is stupid and selfish coaching. If you want to ruin someones career that is how you do it. J. White just came out of his boot and threw 120 pitches his first time out. Do you think that is good coaching just to get a darn disrtict win??? That kid is draftable but when coaches like you are out to get the win for YOUR personal records and achievements this is what happens. Point closed.
  19. I was amazed at how much baseball talent there is in West TN this year. There are a lot of really good players in the area. Where are they all at cause I ain't seen um' yet???? The twelve you have in the Mag are the best but who else is left?????
  20. How are they doing this year? He has contacted me twice but I don't know much about their program. He has mentioned he signed the White boys from Milan and an outfielder from Memphis who is a D1 caliber player. I just don't have the grades it takes to get into a big university right now but I am now considering going the small college route.
  21. Dirtyfrank, I have to agree with you on this subject. All places like Dulin's(just an example) are out for, is to take young people that are getting fooled to pee away their money on some showcase that nobody cares about. On the paper they send you, it states that you were preferred by a college or pro scout to get you interested and to spend $150 to look stupid doing their drills. No college scout is gonna refer a player so other colleges can look at a prospect they have, think about that!!!! These things are definitely overrated and a waste of time and money. Like you said, if you are good enough people will come and find you. Just look at the Morris kid who was drafted in the third round.
  22. SEC??? Yah right, you must be an ELITE pitcher in this conference bro! He must be your son if you think this highly of him. I am not sayin he ain't good but don't make up stories that aren't true.
  23. OK I have read everything in this post and I do feel a little sympathy for IV. It is the goal to develop younger players to substain or build a high school baseball program. This responsibility always falls back onto the head coach regardless. He always gets the blame for everything good and bad. I think that it would be a wise decision for the baseball coach to start working with and helping his younger players develop a little bit for future success in his program for years to come. If he just wants to win for a couple of years then he can keep doing what he is doing now. I am not putting the blame on anyone because I do understand that coaches have limited time to get all the tasks that are asked of them to be completed but my advice would be to find some time for future players who will ultimately be the heart and soul of that program in years to come. I hope that this situation will become better because Lexington is a nice community that has a lot to offer kids in the future. Good Luck!
  24. I have to agree with these guys on this one Milannbb( I usually agree with you). These teams are the laughing stock of West Tn baseball. I am sure everyone is hitting over .750 as well with ERA's around 0.00???
