  1. Congratulations Clay County! You have landed a very good coach who is bringing two outstanding sons/football players into your program. He is a super family man and coach. This is a perfect fit for all parties involved.
  2. They have had a few problems up there. The biggest reasons are (1) everyone in the region has gotten better (2) there have been several cycles of players that have not been as talented as previous classes (3) soccer. I really do believe things will get much better on "The Reservation" though.
  3. So there are some new guys that are coming out for football?
  4. Let's please get this topic back on track after this. I know the coaches at Oneida and Scott High and know for a fact that they are friends and help each other out whenever possible. Believe it or not... they actually pull for each other on Friday nights. This game is history... IT WILL NEVER BE PLAYED AGAIN... so why talk about it. The community should be pleased with the fact that both staffs like each other, help each other out, and want to see each others kids have success. People may not agree, but that is my opinion. Now, how about some more posts about the ONEIDA situation.
  5. The Jimmys and Joes are not there like they used to be. But mark it down, TL will instill that old Oneida mindset (mental and physical toughness). I'm not sure how many they will win, but they will be disciplined, tough, and will fight you for four quarters.
  6. Comparing Lambert to May, Daniels, Beeler, or Jacobs is offensive to TL and the whole Oneida family. I know for a fact that he holds these coaches (especially May) on a pedestal and hopes to do half the job they were able to do. With that said, the Oneida administration and community are doing what they have to do to get this thing rolling again. Do I personally think he will get the job done?... YES!
  7. On Thursday, Tony Lambert was introduced as the new head coach at Oneida High School.
  8. The sleeping giant is about to wake up.
  9. Coach Lambert did not apply for the OS HC position, though he was approached about the possibility of applying from "some OS people". I heard it from the horse's mouth "I have a tremendous amount of respect for Oliver Springs' program, but I am not interested." I wonder if he ends up coaching some where in Anderson County year after next?
  10. Oneida plays a tough 3-4 defense... though I heard they may go to a 3-3 stack.
  11. Does anyone know how these 3 teams looked yesterday?
  12. Coach Lambert will be the next head coach at Anderson County and he will win a ton of games there!
  13. I wish Coach Lowe much success. Knowing both Coach Lowe and Coach Lambert, I think it was a huge mistake passing on Lambert. The only people happier about the hire than Coach Lowe are #1 all of the coaches in Region 4-3 (especially Maryville) and #2 AC.
  14. Powell should strongly consider giving Coach Lambert an interview, if he has applied. I played under him many years ago and I'll never forget all of the things he has done for me and my family. If Powell gives him an interview, things will get interesting. Any program who passes him over is going to feel pretty silly when he does get his shot because he will win in a hurry.
