Wow what a selfish individual if that is the case. Is he more worried about getting his way, adding wins to his win column, or running from good competition? And btw is this "Jody" guy you keep referring to, is he the only guy that votes on the districts and realignments of them? If you knew anything about the BOC you would know the answer is NO. Well that will not happen you have no one as good as the gillium brother or the price brother. Those 4 coach's are as good as any around and it shows. Davey shows up and takes a team that might not make the playoffs and takes them to quarterfinals and beats a more talented clinton team in getting there.

You play a team like Alcoa in the regular season so you are battle tested come playoff time. All good coach's know that sometimes playing a good team and losing will help you a lot more than playing a small A school and winning. Bottom line is if your good enough to make the playoffs and make a deep run you want to be battle tested.

I could care less about either team but have you ever heard of MENTAL TOUGHNESS and COMPOSURE.... Wow now we have dads making excuses because of the other team running there mouth when they are getting hammered. Not a sign of a championship football team. I have heard it all.

Thanks futbolfan! Im not bitter. Im disappointed that we lost, but to be honest, i didnt think we would make it all the way to the championship anyway. I was very surprised that we went through the season undefeated. I thought our offensive line was our team's weakness and thought it would get us beat eventually. I would love to come watch AC play friday, but the game is just too far away for me to travel. Im gonna stick a little closer to home and probably go watch Grace. Good Luck and God Bless! Opressed what does he have to do to get you on his side....Set a state record? Great Win to the Anderson County football team and to Coach Gillium. Gillium coached his kids up and got a big win. He has out coached every team he has played and won games that would have been lost in the past. Great Coaching job and great effort from the entire team.

People who are not use to winning are funny.... Who would bring up a region championship this past season when you got ran over in playoffs come on. Start a winning tradition like back to back region champs and a trip to Murfreesboro with a little hardware in that trophy case. Then you can get on here and tell us how good you are. Come on Grace realize you are getting better sports programs but are not in that elite level yet in any sports. By the way Grace is always going to have Clinton kids, Oak Ridge kids, Karns kids etc. They have no zone they will get whomever wants to come so lay off all the transfers these kids wanted to go somewhere they could play and I dont blame them who wants to watch from the sidelines?

Gillium would be the best choice for the AC football program. This is a Great Christian guy who does things the right way and more importantly its not about him its about the kids. Same cant always be said about past coach's. The guy from Grace will not be hired. Guy has been at 5 different jobs in last 7 years and is happy scoring 65 points a game against Jellico. Everyone that loves Anderson County football will be happy with Gillium as football coach and proud that he is coaching his or her young man.
