I predict Wartburg to be # 1.... in losing games lol. heck they didnt win one last year so why not keep that up?? Wartburg has went downhill these past years. I guess all the trash talking didnt pay off for them.

There are two ways that Wartburg could win atleast one game this up coming season.... 1: Get a new coaching staff... 2: Play Oakdale or Sunbright... and even if they did play either of those two teams they still might not win a single game! Oh by the way there was alot of crap talking on here about the infamous Seth George. How many total Yards did he get??? and how many yards did he get against Coalfield??? HAHAHAHAHA!!! thats just something for the Wartburg fans to think about. And the line of Wartburg... what happened to all of those guys... they were suppose to be dominant! I belive the line didnt come close to being Dominant in one game.... and if they were what was Seth George doing??? Overall Wartburg is full of themselves and the Coachs blow smoke up the players butts! Coalfield on the other hand... Did quite well in the regular season and got a few playoff victories...they were closer than I expected but they still WON!!!!!!!

I would have to say that the best coaching staff would have to be Coalfields. Look at what they have accomplished so far and they are not even to the playoffs yet, it is guaranteed that they get into the playoffs and I would say they will win their region championship also.

Old Davis is a heck of a ball player thank god for Coalfield hes still pretty young though. I wouldnt give everything to him. I know he deserves an award or two but, if I was him I wouldnt want all of the awards. I beleive he would feel the same as I do. It doesnt matter where he plays though he does it very well. Actually if they would let him he would be the long snapper and then run back there and punt the ball all by himself Good luck to All the athletes in Morgan County, never know when we will see some like brandon again

As far as single A goes Coalfield has the nicest field in East Tn, and it is alot better than some AA and AAA fields I have seen around TN

I agree with you CY. One person doesnt determine the outcome of a football goame it takes the 11 on Offense and the 11 on defense to do that. Anyways a few of our lineman were sick but thats not our excuss for the loss. We could have played better as a team but the players couldnt connect with each other as they did when we played the Indians. I hope the players learn from the O.S. game that no team gives the game to you, You have to take every yard and score, whether it be a field goal or 6 on the board 3 is better than 0. Good luck to the Jackets this week. Its time for them to COWBOY UP, it's region play this week thats what really matters! P.S. are you sure its not KY... LOL just kidding peace out

We all know what happened last year but it is a new year of football for Coalfield. Coming off a devastating loss to O.S. I would say the Jackets will be pretty fired up!

Listen here People from O.S. Coalfield does not recruit I will spell it out for you once more Coalfield DOES NOT RECRUIT! The only reasons I can think of as to why a football player would come to Coalfield is because we have a great tradition and have been to the playoffs quite alot. As far as M.P. coming to Coalfield he had some Family problems, same for B.D. I guess everyone will think that we recruited Jesse Harting from the Netherlands too??? I really dont know about O.S. recruiting dont think hardly any school besides the Privates recruit. Peace out! P.S. Ok this is how I see things. Coalfield and Oliver Springs have a fantastic rivalry and thats good, but The Jackets will bring home the win. Even though OZ has a good defense, but so does Coalfield... Our offense is not at its peak right now but when we played Oneida that was Keith's first starting game at QB and he did suprisingly good. I know about the overall records that really doesnt matter. Oneida has beaten Coalfield 44 times to Coalfields 18, but Coalfield is the only team to beat Oneida 4 times in a roll and the only team I know of to beat Oneida by 28 and the only team I know of that has skunked Oneida so really records dont mean diddily SQUAT! I pick the Jackets by 14 or more and I will even bet an OZ fan/player 20 bucks. Peace out!

I dont know of the Oneida tradition, but I do know of the tradition that Coalfield has made over the last 15 years or so but when ever the lights come on Friday night tradition has nothing to do with it. The past 2 years Coalfield has barely been able to beat the Indians. Each year it came down to the fourth quarter when you really see who wants it more and who has the red #### as Porky would say! Me being from Coalfield I have to say Coalfield will win but no one never knows. I think this game will make the highlight reels on the local news channel. But my pick is Coalfield 21- Oneida 13. 46-6 Do I dare say more about the Coalfield vs. Wartburg tale whippin' I mean heck everyone that I talked to before the game said that Wartburg would be dominate on the line... they might have pushed the guys at Coalfield back a little bit but overall Coalfield whipped them on defense and on offense. I mean if they can run there first play of off. and score thats pretty good, but when they run the same exact play on there second off. drive and score the first time I think that should tell everyone that Wartburg just aint got enough skill to play with Coalfield High School or middle school naw that middle school was a joke... I saw big bad Seth George run the ball a few times... how many rushing yards did he have vs. B.D. and receiving yards too. And if I remember correctly Coalfield had 6 maybe 8 under classmen on the feild and Wartburg still barely scored late in the game. Peace out everyone

Well Well Well, I dont know the overall record for Coalfield vs. Wartburg but I would put money on it that over the years Coalfield has beat Wartburg more than you all have beat us... and I know Coalfield has been to the playoffs way more than Wartburg. Even though Wartburg is 2A it really dont matter if you look at it like this... you have way more students than Coalfield and should be able to compete at a higher level than us but you some how dont manage to do that... Look those things up Kingbrian I know you can find it! and post them please! O and if I remember correctly Harriman beat you all last year... We havent lost to Harriman in god knows how long

Well, I wasnt saying B.D. is so great or so godly that Seth will not even come close to what Brandon will accomplish but I think B.D. willl have a better season than Seth. I seen Seth at the Morgan County Outdoor Show and I didnt even reckognise him at first gotta give him credit, he has lost ALOT (well pretty much all) of that chubbyness I am gonna try not to talk any more smack. I am gonna try to sweap my slate clean sorry if I offended anyone by anything I have said in previous posts As of Greenback I think we (Coalfield) will still have a tuff time playing them. Those boys always seem to play hard even when they're down. Especially against Coalfield, but who dont! As for Wartburg I think they will make it to the playoffs but with all the private Schools in their class now they will have a hard time getting past the 2nd round if they get that far good luck though. Doesn't everyone think the privates should be required to play only privates... They basically recruit their players anyways so its like a young college team with all the skill they get.

Philip2003 I know who I am. Who are you? Anyways I think you dont know what your talkin about when you say Seth will ge more yards then Brandon. Cause I know Brandon and I know how tough he is... He got like 4 concusions over the past 2 years at Coalfield and he still played or wanted to atleast. I seen Matt Silvey and I think Ricky Lowe both hit him at the same time and give him a concusion in a practice he got up and wanted some more of them but the coaches didnt want him to get hurt. So I think that just goes to say he is tuffer than Seth... How much did Seth way when he ran over those guys from Alcoa... I would say any big guy could go up against a really hard hitter and run over him... Hypathetically lets say Coalfield gives Dustin Carrol the ball (i am guessing thats how big Seth was at the time) and he hits and runs over a guy or two that are "hard hitters". So in my own opinion I would pick B.D. over Seth any day. Especially since he is faster and a better all around ball player than Seth. I mean he did lead the STATE in sacks last year.. and probably will if he plays the same amount of defense as he did last year... or he will be in the top 10 of all the guys in the state. Peace out

Hey doesnt everyone think almost everytime Coalfield went out onto the field pretty much everyone was gunning for M.P.G.?????? and he got what Brian L. over 2000 yards... I know they played alot of games but still with Coalfieds line they can do anything Especially if they can work together like they did lasty year any way I think brandon d. will do better than seth just because Coalfield has the overall better line dont get me wrong here Wartburg has a very capable line but they havent proved their selfs yet! and everyone knows that the Wartburg players run their mouths with the best of em peace out
