Well from the Bearden side it was pretty obvious that the ball hit the ground and Jovon trapped the ball. After watching it on film, it also shows that the ball was incomplete. I'm not expecting replay or anything like that, I was just wondering what other people thought. I feel like Bearden deserves the credit, because a bad call cost them the game. As far as trash talking goes, we have to understand that's just the way it is on the field, especially in such a heated rivalry. Farragut and Bearden both had people running their mouths, but no penalties were thrown either way for personal fouls. That's just the way it is in some big games like that. Thanks for your thoughts. Also, if you go to Farragut, what did the student body and the football team say about the catch and the game? Thanks.

Farragut beat Bearden 21-17 for the fifth time in a row last Friday night. A 3rd and 9 pass was "caught" with 3 minutes left, keeping Farragut's drive alive. The pass, however, was questionable. When called incomplete by the side judge (the side the ball was thrown to), the call was overturned by the back judge who was out of position. After the game, Coach Courtney said he would not have gone for it on 4th and 9, and that would eventually lead to the Bearden victory. Was this actually a catch? And what are your thoughts about this game? Could this be the second time Bearden has lost a game to Farragut due to a bad call? (2003 ... fumble on punt was called a TD but later came out and was said to be Bearden's ball.) Thanks for your comments.

What about Bearden? So they've had a rough past few years ... but why does everyone overlook them? 3A football is a joke compared to 5A. Fulton needs to watch out for the Dogs in the jamboree. They could be a dark horse this year. With a new offensive coordinator and a new mentality they could make it back to the top.
