Pearl Cohn wins unless Ricky Ladd has a field day, and the defense must not give up the big plays, they need to make Peal Cohn settle for the 3 and 4 yards at a time and try to frustrate the coaches into making mistakes. Unlikely this will happen but never say never.

Macon wins if they don't make the same mistakes they made against Whitehouse and I doubt that girl could out run Dallas. He's as fast a back as I've seen in a long time and very tough. Smith County better hope he doesn't get loose.

I attended the game between WH and MC friday night. MC made to major mistakes that cost them the game, a fumble when they we're driving the ball that WH recovered and drove down to score before half time. The other mistake was jumping off sides on 4th down late in the 4th quarter and allowing WH to keep the ball. The MC defense done a good job of containing Ladd for 44 minutes but he finally broke a couple of runs when it was 3 down and long. MC will win friday night if the QB can start throwing the ball with some accuracy, he struggled against WH. I think it will be a close game could go to either team. I do think Dallas is one of the best backs in the state and he's probably the fastest runningback since Clay Phillips.

Just to set the record straight WH hasn't always been good, your team might have beaten MC when you played but when I played we beat WH 3 out of 4 years. The past is the past and WH doesn't have the horses this year. The game should be close but I think MC will win this one simply because the lack there of an offensive & defensive line for WH.

White House fans are spoiled, and the devils are feeling the effects of having two schools in one community. White House has had a lot of talent and good coaching over the last 23 years, the coaching is still there but the talent is down. What people don't understand is even though you might have the players coached up and in the correct position, you still need some talent. Coaches can't go out and make the blocks or throw the ball or catch the ball the players are the ones responsible for this. Ladd is a great running back and he's very talented but he had no where to run friday night because Portland had better linemen on both sides of the ball. WH is used to having good talent and experience players this just happens to be a down year for White House, every school goes through this from time to time. WH will bounce back, it might not be this year but they won't go away.

This by far is the weakest WH team I've seen in over 20 years o-line didn't block a soul friday night. Portland has a pretty good team but no where close to what they've been used to. MC wins this game, too much Dallas for WH to handle, unless WH can pass the ball Lafayette's secondary is weak in pass coverage.
