I have coached against LC in the playoffs and that is one of the best HS football communities to go to. Was not a empty seat in the house on the home side. If I were coaching at another school i would ask to play LC every year you can only get better by playing them and your fans can take a few things from the dedication that they show in LC.

I looked at the score this morning and well took it upon my self to no longer post about East Hickman after today. Good luck Eagles. I sure hope you get one this year. Closes game so far is 12 point loss and kids are quiting ummm not sure where that goes to but I did not produce and well you see where I am now. And no 2 wins does not make it a dynasty but it was two wins more than the Football team. Nothing against the Football players. But we were alot closer in our losses than they have been in most of the football games. Good luck guys.

Someone tell me what happend to some of the boys that were supposed to be helping with the team this year. Where is Gossett? Was he not supposed to be the QB for the future. Had a great arm, not so much in the head sometimes. But great arm. At some point you have to stop playing for the coaches and start playing for you self. Dont worry about what they will say. No coach will ever get mad if you are giving your all and still mess up. When you lolly gag then we get mad. Keep your Head up boys. The best is yet to come.

I am actually going to be coaching at Smyrna High this spring straightuptheguy and ludawg. Was going to be in School and help out at MTSU but could not get the funds to get in. I hate that this is going on at East, last year there were a few guys that quite but to go from high spirits and 65 to 30 and dropping is not a good sign. Kinda glad I did not coach football and I was asked to leave. I do miss the kids at east but did not like being 2nd fiddle to a subpar football program. At least I got 2 wins.

I feel real bad for all those boys. I know they have been working real hard since the spring and were egar to get a win. I know it will come soon. Just keep your head up and keep working hard. I lost my temper and did the same thing to some of them and should have not done that. They are just high school kids and not professional athletes. Being a bully does nothing but make the kids hate you and not want to play. Keep your head up East your day is coming.

To all East Hickman Players, Students, and Fans: If you would please refrain from getting into shouting matches with other schools that would benefit our program more than having someone on here talking trash. I think this will be a great and exciting year for district 10-AA. I know that our kids here at EHHS are ready to get going. 32 days till opening day.

Yes all District games are played back to back on Monday/Tuesday.

How is it that a team like Antioch High School who has not lost to a team in the state of Tennessee and whose only two losses came to nationaly ranked teams is only 9th and yet teams who have lost games to teams in this state are ahead of them.

The thing about the numbers you have is that in each number set up there are teams from another Classification with an enrollment that should have them moving up. Such as Maryville should be going up and teams like Glencliff and maybe Gallatin moving down.

As far as I can remember them to be it should be something like this. 1A- 0 to 449 2A- 450 to 680 3A- 681 to 999 4A- 1000 to 1399 5A- 1400 up I could be off by a few numbers but I think that is close. According to TSSAA Maryville should be in 5A but you are right they somehow find a way to stay down.

The AHS vs DCHS games have become a great rival type atmosphere. In 99 there were two meetings both close but won by DCHS. 00' Close game but AHS wins. And now with the teams in different Regions that match up in the playoffs more is at stake. Should be a good game. But Antioch maybe a bit much for DCHS to handle if they can get their special teams fixed. Bears by 10

LC should blow out Ezell-Harding. They have too many injuries to key players. But last time EH was underestimated on a trip to LC EH came up big. But this is not the same team.

I believe that the actual numbers are as follows: 1A- 399 or less 2A- 400 - 699 3A- 700- 999 4A- 1000-1399 5A- 1400+ i could be wrong but I think those might be correct. Who really knows other than TSSAA.

I am not sure. Harpeth by record looks better but I have not seen any film or seen them in person to know. East boys will play hard and maybe things will go their way this week.

They play at Harpeth this week. These kids are always working hard everyweek and I know they are hungry for a W.

So as of today this is how it stands. I listed multiple teams at 3-3 so the tie breaker would come into play there. Just a shot in the dark here.

Has the tournament field been set yet? And if so what is the schedule of games?

We are in Lyles, TN off Highway 7. It is a beautiful location to be in with what will be a great baseball field when it is finished.

I am sorry if I offended you. I was not aware of the fact SS was there before my time. My first year was the first year in the new school. For those who did not go to the New school after the move when talking about the Sports Nazi Anthony. She lead a movement in metro to get rid of all extra activities in schools. That did not go over well. Would have been nice to get new things like the classes after me. McNine was talking about guys who played in each class. I remember those guys from the 97 and 98 seasons. 97 was the best chace we had till my senior year to make a run in the playoffs if JW was healthy. But that ____________ insert what ever word you want guy from Tullahoma took out his leg in the endzone. 98 I felt so bad for those guys as we could only get 2 wins. My senior year we had great leadership from our whole senior class. Mosley, Albright (Dan), D. Smith ran the line. Rico ran every where. I kept the special teams rolling. We did not really pass much so. A wreck the friday after a 1st round win took our chance of moving on in the playoffs past the 2nd round. But that is neither here nor there. Last night was a low point. But AHS fans never fear it will get better.

Jesse let me begin with you comment about Coach Brown. It sounds like you were snubbed somehow buy coach. If that is the case then you have no room to talk. Yes I admit I had questions about some of Coach Brown's methods and play calling but in the long run things worked out. He did the best job he could with the talent available. Look at the 99 and 00 season. 2nd in region 99 and 2nd round playoff team after destroying the high power and highly ranked Brentwood Bruins. 00 they won the region and beat Columbia in the 1st round. That was two of the best seasons in school history. 97 we made the playoffs for the first time ever under Brown. 98 we did not have a great season but we also had very in team that year. As for Scott Smith, he did not come in till my Junior year and he left Greenbrier for the assitant job at Antioch and then we went to Ezell-Harding when that job came open. So know your facts. This group of Antioch Bears are not the same kids as when I was there or even when my brother was there after me. I am not at practice, but from what I see there is not much Senior leadership or key players steping up. You can not make a leader, they must have it in them and have the opportunity to lead. They will get it in the grove and when it happens watch out. GO BEARS!!!!! WHEN ALL ELSE FAILS RUN THE BALL!!!
