I agree, this team week after week is getting better. I saw several young stangs stepping it up against McKenzie last week. I would like to see our coverage on the kicking game get better though.Let's get past Trenton and get on to the game everyone in the state (that watches AA football) is waiting to see. MILAN VS HUNTINGDON! I also read on another post where someone was asking who had a chance against Alcoa. The answer is anyone who is competive in 7AA! Looking foward to November!!!!

Nice job GC but still way early to be talking all that trash. You still have some very stiff competition ahead of you, we of course look foward to meeting up with you!

The passing game will continue to get better as the year progresses as will our running game. It looks as if the other teams are saying your not gonna run on us so go ahead and pass. So far we have been somewhat successful at this but we all know the running game has got to get better. Our linemen are getting better but we are still a long way from being where we need to be to go play in the derby. Defensively our secondary was outstanding last night, and I think Chris Donald hit the QB so hard one time that he wasn't looking foward to passing another ball. The only TD scored by Dresden was on a trick play late in the game. Hats off to the kicker from Dresden, lord I think he could have hit from 45 yds or better last night. This region is shaping up just like everyone predicted, no one right now has complete control over anything. Look for this region championship to be decided on game 10 with alot of contraversy. (sp) Good luck stangs and lets give a little something extra @ practice on our kicking game, we got to do better covering our punts and kickoffs. On a brighter note we did make our extra point kicks, good job!

I would like to say Great Job Coaches at Huntingdon on your play calling Friday night against a much bigger team Liberty. I was really impressed with the size and the intensity of the Liberty players. For all you Huntingdon haters out there, we may not be the best right now in this region but come November we promise to be as good as the best! Who would have ever believed Huntingdon would throw for 5 TD's in one game? Not me! Great job boy's , looking better every week.

My good man if I'm not mistaking winning in November is what this is all about isn't it? I meen if you think for one min that Huntingdon doesn't play a little better on Friday nights in Nov. than they do up until then you might want to ask some of the teams they have been playing in Nov. I know, you know and everyone else knows that Westview is as loaded as a 357 magnum in the Bronx on Friday nights but please understand that you can be the best and still lose! Is Huntingdon the best team in 7AA right now? I personally can't say but what I can say is that until you beat them they have to be the odds in favorite. I noticed that someone else on here was doing a little bashing on the boys for loosing to a very talented Alcoa team 52/41. If you had any class or you had seen that game i think you would know that giving up 52 points to that team was not a bad thing. I have to wonder what Westview or any other team from this region would have done against a team with that many studs on the field. I said it before and I'll repeat myself one more time. I have both watched and played football (not in Huntingdon) all of my life and I have never watched a better football game than I did last year for the championship!! I think what everyone should do is calm down and let these boys settle all this on Friday night in Westview. If you win Westview, congradulations, but do expect to see us again in November when we are playing our best Huntingdon Football as always!!!! My score is Huntingdon 35 Westview 28. Good Luck Stangs

Hmm, the way I have it figured that if you don't have to play them in regular season may be the only reason you might make it to the playoffs. You should count your blessings that you don't compete week in and week out with these fine football powerhouses over here in 7AA. But don't count to long because before you know it one of them will come a callin during the playoffs and thats when reality will set in. Post what you want about H-Town it really doesn't matter because the truth lies within the #'s. Have you looked at our #'s lately? I can tell you where to start looking, try the state archives for rushing yds in a championship game, pts in CS game ect.. I'm sure you could even call the coach for DL or Alcoa and they may have some more #'s for you. See Ya (if ya make it) in the Playoffs Make Some Noise Mustangs

We might want to watch what we say about others on here cause we didn't exactly shine like a new penny ourselves. We won 12/6 over a team that dressed out 37 kids. We definately have some work to do ourselves. Just being real! Go Stangs!!

Are you people serious about kids giving auotographs at school? I can tell you this much, if you didn't have a problem with getting helmets on kids heads you will if this continues. I meen lets be serious people , the kids from Alcoa that you are refering to are exceptional athletes but there are kids from all over this state that can play with those young men. I said it in a earlier post and I'll say it again, I hope you stay focused Alcoa because there are some young men from Huntingdon hoping for round 2. Anyone who was at that game knows that these young men from Huntingdon can play with Alcoa on any given Friday. STAY FOCUSED

Personally I was shocked that Camden signed to play Westview and Huntingdon Back 2 back. I meen no disrespect Camden fans but when your going to play 8 consecutive region games you sure want to be healthy going in. I know your already having some health issues within your team and I can't help but think your going to be somewhat beat up going into your regional play. I do however wish you the best of luck and hope we meet again in the playoffs. The good news for Camden is that they don't have the same schedule as Huntingdon does!!! I wouldn't wish that on any team.

I for one would be shocked to see Huntingdon throw that many times with the stacked backfield the possees. I would however look for Huntingdon to shock a few people with some downfield action later in the season or even as early as the Westview game. Remeber folks Huntingdon is and will always be a power football team that loves to run with the ball. Very few schools will match up with the speed we posses this year. All we can hope for is that we are injury free this year and that our coaching staff have our boys prepared. From what I've seen and heard conditioning won't be the problem!!

I for one hope your wrong about Alcoa and it's inability to stay focused because there's a group of young men from West Tn hoping for the rematch that everyones been waiting for , Huntingdon vs Alcoa part 2. This thing could go on like Rambo with the talent pool these two schools are pulling from right now. I look at Huntingdon over the next couple of yrs and I have to be honest things are looking pretty darn goo. Good Luck Alcoa and we hope to see you back in the title game.

No doubt all of these were great players but to be honest I don't know that our Championship team wasn't the most well rounded group of kids I've seen on the field in Huntingdon Ever. Gotta give the perks folks cause they closed the deal and brought it home to Huntingdon!! thumb

Your welcome, but I disagree about you not recieving supporrt from the Huntingdon fans. I've read several post on here over the last year and I don't think I've seen a handful of things said(by Huntingdon fans) that weren't positive about Camdens program. Fact of the matter is we hope your program does well because in the greater scheme of things we all want the State Championship to be in West Tn. We would however prefer for it to be in Huntingdon! thumb

I really hope Camnden has a stellar year and that Huntingdon has the oppurtunity to play them come playoff time. I do on the other hand question your scheduling both Westview and Huntingdon back to back? I mean I know that to get better you need to play the tougher schedule but there really should be some concern about how beat up your boy's could be going into region play! Anyway good luck to ya'll over in Benton county and hope all your kids stay healthy!!
