Thoughts? If Marion plays hard, this should be a good game to add a few more plays to their playbook.

I don't think this group of seniors won a game as 8th graders.There was only one skill player in group as 8th graders and he moved before the season started. But.... As 8 and under before the North Marion debacle, they were Harvest Bowl Champions. The past is the past and now is current, and this group is working hard to improve. I am looking forward to a great game Friday night.

I just hope we can stay on the field with this far superior Indian team. I guess We are everybody's weak sister. I would just expect the Indians to take up from what they did at the Jamboree.

Del, I agree with you on this one! Coach Pickett was successful. He coached with passion and pride for Grundy County High, and got his players to buyin on their game plan. I do miss those old Marion/Grundy rival games.

Grundy needs to be looking now for someone established. They will be lucky to go 2 and 8 this year. Too much talent for that kind of record.

Pounder, did you realize Marion is only starting 5 seniors? I would say next year should be a great game to watch!

Usually I don't comment after many games other than to say focus on improving on your mistakes...... but due to the many opinions on this game I am going to give mine. Too many on both sides have still got those.....Rose Colored Glasses on! Throw those things away people, wake up and smell the roses. Congrats to Central on the win! No doubt, you made the least amount of mistakes and deserved the win. As for the my Warriors, you turned the ball over 7 times. Of those 7 times, 4 were by mishandling the ball. Not because the opposing team caused them. A lack of "Execution". Center/QB snap, QB/RB handoffs, and trying to catch a punt return on the bounce. These can all be fixed. Now as for the defence, I thought they played ok. We have to learn to strip the ball when we have the runner stood up, and stop the outside sweeps. Now I will make one statement about the Pounders. No doubt you had more speed but speed doesn't always make a win and didn't last night. I didn't see you break any 60, 70, 80 yd TDs. You can take a good offence that can consistantly get 4 yds a carry and score just as many points. May take longer to get there, but will score just as many points. Marion has done pretty well at putting points on the board since Coach Mac has come on the scene, and it has been normal for them to play faster teams most weeks. Again, congrats to the Pounders on the win and good luck on the rest of your season. Now Warriors, this game is over and means nothing other than braging rights. Lets move on and focus on the rest of the season, fixing our mistakes one game at a time. And as always.........GO WARRIORS!

Tonight will be a good test for the Warriors. They will have to play their best game to date! Warriors win by a TD. These people talking about blowouts and State? Take off those glasses and quit drinking that fire water. This team just needs to keep working to improve one game at a time! Go Warriors!!!!!!

For Marion to win this game, they will have to continue to work to improve. I will wait till later this week to make my prediction. Go Warriors!

I believe I called this one earlier in the week. Congrats SC. Wonder when Colquit will be inducted to that GC hall of Fame? JK On a serious note. Colquit has won everywhere he has been, why could he not be successful @ GC?

Game Day! Game Time! I am looking for the Warriors to come out and play a full 4 quarters tonight. If they do, this will be ugly in a hurry. Warriors win by .............a lot! Go Warriors!

I will go with the Indians by a TD. I think Grundy may be a little better, but just like week 0, they will be out coached!

Marion should win this game by a bunch! Buttttt, in order for that to happen, the offense must be more consistent than this past week. I think Marion will hold Whitwell to 2 TDs max!!

Congrats to the Warriors tonight. I witnessed continued improvement. Many new young faces were in the lineup due to the injury bug and you played we'll. Defense finally contained the edge for full game and that was good to see. We still must improve our tackling. As for the offense, you moved the ball pretty well. Running game looked good from backs to line blocking. We still have a lot to improve on in the passing game! All in all, it was a good win. Continue to work hard toward your goal and it will happen. By the way, does anyone know of an exterminator who can kill this injury bug? The locker room has been sanitized as well as other actions and this thing just won't go away lol..... And as always....... GO WARRIORS!!!!!!

Marion's offense played pretty well last night. The defense definitely had more POP than last year, but they must continue to improve. Can they contain Bledsoe? Thought?
